It is raining in Texas! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

What we are getting won't fix the drought (if we got enough for that we would be washed away!!!), but we are getting enough to wet us down really good so maybe we won't go up in flames like we've been the last few weeks!

It's only because I hand washed and waxed my car a couple of days ago. GRRRR

I forgot how lovely it is to hear rain on the roof. icon_smile.gif

Gracious, if I hand washed and waxed my car we probably would get washed away for sure!

If that was what it took, I'm very glad you did it, Cakepro!

I can't hear it on the roof...I live in a downstairs apartment, but I stood in my doorway and watched it and sniffed the fresh clean air...it is wonderful!Janice

LOL, it was the first time I did that in like 10 years. Now I know what it takes to break a drought!! LOL

I enjoyed the rain today too, and the cool weather that brought it in. icon_smile.gif

Sorry you aren't getting any of this wonderful stuff way out there in West Texas, Melony, I thought it was pretty much all over the state! So far it has been a nice slow soaking rain, with no storms...just great!

My neighbors already think I'm a nut, so I've just pretended dancing in the rain for you lol, (it is also pretty cool, so I'd probably get a chill), if I could send you some I definitely would do that! Janice

There is a God!

It had been so long since we'd heard the sound of rain on the roof that it actually scared my cat. Why yes, then he went right back to sleep again. hehehe

Well glad to hear it all of you Texans that did get rain. I hope some of my cake buddies in parts of Oklahoma that are experiencing the same drought conditions also got rain. Hope the rest of you Texans get some soon!

Several years ago I was living out in Las Vegas I went back to Austin (my home for 26 years) for a visit, and it rained while I was there...I caught enough of the wonderful stuff to fill a small bottle and took it back to Vegas, just to have a little bit of home with me!

The sprinkle on the window won't work, Melony!
The apartment complex sprinklers spray on my windows all the time, and all I get from it are spotty windows! Hopefully you will get some of "the real thing" soon! Janice

Good for you! Since you so desperately needed it. We could sure use some sunshine our way--I think we may have been getting your share of precipitation the past few months!

Last week they put the boards up to frame the foundation of the house we are building. I am sure that helped our rain situation. Since I have the greatest luck, I am sure we will start getting lots of rain while they work on our foundation.

All I have to say is - Your Welcome. icon_lol.gif

Hey, we get to do the happy dance again! Yep, it is raining here in the DFW area (hope everybody gets some of the wet stuff this time!)

Can't wait to see how many washed/detailed their cars to get this one started. We might get up to 3/4 of an inch!

Talmas, your builders had a pretty nice week, hope they got a whole lot done on your house!
