My mom and I made this cake together for my sister's birthday. Her nickname is Cat, so we put a fondant cat on top. The bottom tier is devils food, top tier is white, frosted and filled with almond buttercream, with fondant accents. I'm 17 years old and took the 3 Wilton classes with my mom. We were pretty happy with the way it turned out. icon_smile.gif

Awwww, thanks for the kind remarks. I was really happy to do this cake with my daughter. This cake was totally her idea. She isn't really into the baking/icing of cakes, but she loves creating and working with fondant, so this worked out for both of us! Especially since I did all of the clean-up. LOL Thanks again. icon_lol.gif

send that clean-up mom right over.........LOL the cake is fantastic....you guys make a great team. I love it when my sisters come hang out with me while I work, gives me someone to talk to...I have even gotten them to do the swirls of icing on cupcakes!!!!

The pearls were made from fondant and rolled in Super Pearl Luster Dust.
