I got The well decorated cake and creative cookies by toba garrett. I also got a set of 3d christmas cookie cutters and snowflake cookie cutters. Not for cake making but I also received a thermometer that you put into the meat in the oven and the sensor on the outside of the oven lets you know when it's the right temp.
Oh and I got a set of stainless steel bowls(great for melting chocolate!)

Sandra
(oh, I bought them all myself and gave them to dh to wrap with the kids-except the bowls which were from my dad)

But I did get 2 large stainless steel tables on casters for my "cake kitchen" in my basement. My brother made them for me.

I also got an OveGlove. It is actually pretty nice.

I got plenty of other stuff too. Christmas was great!

dh gave me two gifts that I just love.

The first one is a very nice set ( three) of glass cooking pans. The big rectangle ones. They are huge and no designs on the sides. My old one ( only one pan!) had this terrible ornate pattern on the sides that after 18 years of cooking in was just hideous and disgusting to look at. I must have driven myself nuts trying to clean it.

Now I have a pretty new set of them and the biggest one was perfect for cooking our Christmas Game hens. Yummy!

The other gift was a new set of exercise tapes--HURRAH!!!
My daughter and I were growing bored with our set of Tony Horton and now we have TURBO JAM, baby.
Pump up the jam, pump it up, while the music's thumping.....

It's a good Christmas!

Ususally I always know what I am getting for Christmas. I thought I did this year, too, but DH decided to be sneaky. I hope he's even sneakier next year icon_lol.gif

It has been such a wonderful Christmas!

The best part was I moved from Northern Alberta to Southern British Columbia which is where I am originally from. So my husband, son and I are smothered with family and we love it!

I have to tell everyone how spoiled I was for Christmas!!

First off, I got all brand new appliances all stainless steel!!!!! icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif (not really a Christmas present because we were planning on buying these to replace the old ones that were in our new house but it sure felt like Christmas and everything came on the 22 and 23rd of Dec) My oven is gorgeous! It's a convec, ceramic top (because we don't have hook up for a gas stove but I can't complain!) that I am still trying to figure out! My dishwasher, fridge (side by side) and microwave (mounted above the stove) are beautiful! I also got a brand new front load washer and dryer set that is amazingly quiet!! and unbelieveably efficient!! They are also gorgeous it's too bad that they have to stay in a room with the door closed!

My husband also suprised me with a Kithenaid mixer metallic chrome to match the appliances. It's the artisan.

I also received other things for the kitchen to match the stainless appliances from family and my husband.

I'm just glad to be back near my family again! thumbs_up.gif

The nicest gift I got this year was a hand-made butcher block from my boyfriend. He literally invested weeks in it and it's just beautiful! He laminated pieces of oak, cherry and poplar to make the 2-inch thick block and stained the stand the same shade of blue as my kitchen cabinets. I've wanted one for years, but they are so expensive that I just put it out of my mind. Well, Now I have one and it's way better than anything I've seen in the stores!

Wow! It seems like everyone was spoiled this year!!! lol icon_lol.gif Me too...I'll share....

Dad & stepmother gave me the KA Pro600!! So excited about that! I've used it everyday, sometimes twice a day, since Christmas day! icon_rolleyes.gif DH gave me pearl earrings and said that the necklace and bracelet will come in the future...how sweet! Smart of him, too, I thought...lol. He said he wants to keep adding to it over the next year...I guess that meant he'll give me a bracelet for Mother's day, a necklace for my birthday and for next Christmas...a RING!! HA! We'll see....

I also was given perfume, 2 Faith Hill cd's, and a $75 gift card to Hobby Lobby. I'm going to spend it today!!

Glad everyone was so blessed this year! icon_smile.gif

I got a tile saw for working with my mosaics, a beautiful sliver cake plateau, two Homer Laughlin rare edition dinner plates ( I collect antigue flowery plates).

A SMILE ON MY FACE from watching my grandchildren opening their gifts and ALSO from watching my son ( who has never had money to buy gifts), watching his nephews open their gifts from him. I think he was more excited than they were. He couldn't wait to open gifts this year. They spent the afternoon outside playing with the guns and remote cars. (All of them, my 22 year old son included).

The best was seeing the tears in the eyes of my daughter when she opened the gift from her brother, he bought her a Brighton purse (I think he paid about 150.00 for it) She was overwhelmed. Come to think of it, I think they both had tears in their eyes. What a great Christmas this year.

I got a new mixer and a printer for edible images. I am so excite can't wait to get it hooked up and try it out. Both of these were from my wonderful husband. The only thing I asked for were some really nice kitchen aid spatulas which he also bought. He is such a wonderful man.
The best gift was watching my grandmother's face light up when she realized that all of her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren were at her house for Christams. There were 41 of us under her roof and it was great.
