Hi everyone, does any one know of a web site for wording to put on a sheet cake for a baby being dedicated on Sunday. Your help in searching is greatly appreciated. Have a good night. icon_smile.gif

Samuel 1:11, 2628

"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

·  "Bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord."

·  "These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."

THE GIFT OF A CHILD

God has blessed the union
Of a husband and a wife
With a beautiful little baby
Bringing joy into their lives
For children are blessings
Sent from God above
A precious gift heaven sent
An expression of Gods love
On the foundation of this love
May this child truly grow
Discovering the truths of God
And to one day come to know
That Jesus Christ is Lord of all
And He has an awesome plan
A destiny only they can fulfil
As they take Him by the hand
And walk with Him every day
With Gods vision for their lives
And godly passion to fulfil
The commission of Jesus Christ.

I hope this helps!

Hi there...

Here are a few suggestions:

"A new life in Christ"

"One Lord, one faith, one baptism - Eph 4:5"

"Whoever belives in the Son has eternal life... - John 3:36

The bible index is a good place to go for short scripture verses...look up baptism or "spiritual rebirth"...or google "baptism scripture verses" and see what comes up...

God Bless....

um, call me silly, but doesn't the CUSTOMER usually tell you what the wording is supposed to be?

Unfortunately the customer did not know what wording they wanted, and was asked for me to write whatever comes to my mind because they have tasted my cakes and were happy with a bridal shower cake that I did and the wording that I came up with. I had a wording in mind, but just wanted to have a few to choose from. But I thank you for your in put though. Have a Blessed Day. icon_smile.gif

Thank you so very much for the link, it was very helpful and I will share pictures of the cake. Even though this was a last minute request so I have to put on my thinking cap on what kind of cake to make, either pound or sponge cake. I'll do a practice one first take pictures and then do the actual cake for the occasion. God Bless and keep you and yours in His care. Thanks again. icon_smile.gif

One I use often, especially for first born babies is

Babies Are Bits Of Stardust
Blown Froim The Hands Of God

The rest of the poem goes on to say

Lucky The Woman Who Has Known The Pangs Of Birth
For She Has Held A Star

Hi val & ShirleyW, thank you so much for the wording and suggestion, both are great ideas and I will be using one them to put on the cake and later on if a customer requests a cake of this sort, I will have a collection of wording unless otherwise they want to use their own or if customer ask me to use my own, but if I use the wordings that I got from CC or from someone else, I will not take credit for what they search or post on CC. Credit will be given to the person(s) responsible for the sharing. I will post pictures when they become available, meaning if I can just learn how to take pictures off my digital camera and put them directly on computer. If I get stuck, I'll just call tech. support which is free service and they can walk me through it and I'll take notes so that I can do it myself. Is it not surprisingly enough when you get a new equipment that the mind tends to go blank and you start messing with buttons and not even have a clue what goes with what and wonder where should you start tackling. Just give me something simple without a whole lots of features built in it, then I am ok otherwise, I'm lost. Sorry that I got a little side track, but thought that I would share my camera story with you all. Thanks again and have a Blessed Day and a great night. God Bless you and yours and may He give you your hearts desire.

Thanks 2cakes, for starting this thread. I, too, was looking for something for my grandbabies' baptism and confirmation. I'm so glad that you found the words you were looking for, and thanks for helping me find mine. Also, I will be giving Doug from CCC, all the credit for the wonderful words he shared with us. And, as far as sharing pictures of our cakes, I haven't figured that one out yet either. Please be patient with me. I'll learn how one of these days - LOL. Isn't it wonderful to find so many great people who are willing to share their tricks of the trade, so to speak? We are all so blessed. Have a wonderful day!!!
