Finally finished my FIRST paid cake order. Used WASC, with buttercream dream recipe with white chocolate filling. I learned the daisys from the Wilton Fondant and Gumpaste class. I used edible glitter on them. The customer really liked it. What do you think?
Yes that is an edible image of her three little babies. This birthday party was at my Husband's job and the big boss asked him if I would make a cake. I was THRILLED!!!! The size of the cake was 12X12. It has about 45 daisys on it. I only charged 40.00. I think I could get more, but was not sure. I figure right now the experience is worth gold, so I was happy with that. Took me along time to do the daisys, because I want things PERFECT!! Was not happy with that bulge though!!!

$40.00 you say? I would have charged at least 50 for that one, probably more, but that's also considering the length of time I take (I'm slow) and the market in my area.

Looks great! Doing a paid cake for someone is so much more nerve-wracking than just making one for fun, isn't it? I'm sure they loved it and didn't even notice the bulge!
