'NOT ME!'. I think I must have given birth to a fourth child and name it 'Not me" and forgotten about it. ![]()
When ever something has gone wrong or a mess is made, etc and I ask who did it, all three of my children will say 'Not me".
Anyone else have this experience?
Hmmm, I knew a few Not Me's I never got the chance to be a Not Me (only child couldn't get away with it) Since I only have one and my DH doesn't want more I don't think my son will get to be a Not Me either ![]()
Not Me's keep the brain active! I mean when I find the remote in the kitchen cabinet I know who it is.....no brain work there ![]()
Well, my two are teenagers now and we've had one of those "invisible not me" kids around our house for quite a while now. He/she is still hanging around too, but the good thing is "not me" doesn't eat much or talk back, so all in all not a bad kid. LOL
I have an "I don't know" living with me. ![]()
Of course "I don't know" is also what I hear when I catch them doing something and ask a question about it.
Of course I have a child that told his teachers that he lies when he gets caught doing something so he doesn't get in trouble.
I don't think he realised that Mom talks to the teachers. ![]()
Well, we have children named "Sophie did it" and "Matthew did it" and in severe cases, "I don't know, maybe it was one of the cats" shows up!
LOL!
OKAY I have a story that may make you think twice about ruling out the cats.
When I was little we used to stack the paper bags from the grocery store by the kitchen entrance, at the end of the hallway leading to our bedrooms. We'd get a big stack going usually.
Well, like five times my mother would come home and find the bags spread out across the floor. She asked us who did it.. we didn't know, truthfully. But we got yelled at and it kept happening. So one time she's yelling at us "Let me guess, it's the cats?" and stacking the bags, when right when she finishes one of our cats barrels down the hallway, jumps on top of the stack of bags, and slides across the floor into the middle of the living room, leaving a trail of bags. Then he runs off.
My mother went silent and turned ghost white, staring at the line of bags. My brother and I were literally on the floor laughing. She apologized and broke down into hysterical laughter, too! It really was hilarious... and it really was those damn cats!
I dont have a not me yet but it amazes me how young siblings start fighting my 7 and 3 year old go at it all the time usually the little one comes out crying and the answer i get most often form my son is I didnt see what happened hmm momentary blindness?

My two have the same age difference and normally the big one comes out crying if they get into a real fight, the little one is tough. That's not saying he doesn't sometimes do something to his brother and not remember exactly what happened. ![]()
My house was haunted, because every time I asked "WHO DID THIS?" the reply was.
"THE GHOST DID IT!"
what ghost??...
Well, this will be different! My younger son, before he learned the lay of the land, used to say "Me did it!" and he was so proud! Of course, that didn't last too long, and then I had mostly "I don't know!" until baby sister came along and then it was always "she did it"!
When she got older and smarter, she would blame her brothers and I gave up even asking!
