Cooking Tv Shows: Which Ones You Like And Which You Dont?

I know that we watch cooking shows a LOT!!! So I wanted to ask you which ones do you like and which ones do you not like? Have you gotten good ideas from or do they just simply make you want to run away and hide?
I will start.
I like: 
Sweet Dreams: She is very likeable, her projects are cool and she gives you recipes.
30-Minute Meals, Rachel Ray: she is cute and I have used some of her recipes. However, sometimes her yacking gets to me... 
Cake Challenges: Love to the masters of cake decorating do their stuff on TV
Sugar Rush: I like to see his guests mainly showing tips and how they deocrate
In Search of.. The guy is really cute and its really funny. I like the show when he went to see Sylvia Weinstcok and felt intimidated by her...
Top 5: Like to see which top 5 foods make the list. Especially desserts!
I DON'T like: 
Martha Stewart shows. I like to see some of her shows ONLY when she is talking about cakes... Other than that, I don't watch her. I just don't like her personality... sorry! 
Good Eats: Its a little confusing with all the science. I watch occasionally, but its not my favorite.
Molto Mario: I don't quite know why, but don't really care for his show.
Emeril LIVE: I get tired of his BAM, BAM!!!! Too much of that! 
And now there is more but, this is pretty much it!!!
Paula Deen...love her!!! Can't get enough of her.....now when are they gonna film some more new shows for pete's sake???
Food 911 & How to Boil Water. There's just something about Tyler Florence. I think I might have a tiny crush on him...
I also like the one where they go behind the scenes to show how packaged foods/candies are made.
I like Rachel Ray's 30 Minute Meals, but the laughing at her own (not usually funny) jokes and little anecdotes do get old by the 15 minute mark.
Paula Deen - Love her! She's not worried about making everything low-fat. She makes real food I'd love making and eating.
Iron Chef American version - sometimes. I have to be in the right mood and they have to be using an ingredient that I could stomach.
LOVE Barefoot Contessa--Ina Garten. I also like Everyday Italian with Giada DeLaurentis. I happen to enjoy Good Eats with Alton Brown, but not because of the recipes--I think Alton really sexes up the kitchen, ooh-la-la! Also, the Iron Chef, both the Japanese version and the US version.
I do not like Semi-Homemade. That's about the only one I truly hate. Especially when she says things like "You can make this cake in LITERALLY two seconds!" One onethousand, two onethousand--where's my cake, Sandy? Also she says things like "preshredded cheese"--when what she has in her hand is a bag of SHREDDED cheese. Preshredded cheese would just be a hunk of cheese, no?
And that concludes my WAY more than 2 cents.
I don't know about the Alton Brown comment though... lol.
I love iron chef, enjoy sugar rush, 30 minute meals is okay, but a lot of times she uses ingredients that are expensive and hard for me to find. I think Emeril is too much for me, too much "show" not enough substance. I personally love watching Martha Stewart, but I have tivo so I fastforward through everything that bores me and just watch the stuff I like. I also like her apprentice show.
I love Barefoot Contessa, Paula Deen (Her Krispy Kreme Doughnut Bread Pudding is awesome) I also love Dave Liberman whatever the name of his show is. Oh and can't forget Sugar Rush and the cake competitions
The ones I don't like is Iron Chef, I am not particularly fond of Rachael Ray nor Sandra Lee. I used to like Emeril but I think he has gotten too big for his britches..Ok that is my take on the food network
LOVE Barefoot Contessa, Giada, Alton and I loved martha when she was on.
dont like Rachael Ray- she is too animated for me and gets on my nerves, paula Dean - heart attack on a plate and Sandra lee - hubby calls her the walmart martha stewart and she talks to her audience like they are three.
Now Tyler florence is a bit of a hunk.. lol 
Hmmm.the Food network here has a few shows that are different than the US food network but most are the same!
The shows I like are: Anything Rachael Ray....$40 a day...30 minute meals...Unwrapped...Top 5....Barefoot Contessa,Special shows for the holidays etc...
The shows I don't really care for are: Anything Martha Stewart..and not because of all her legal troubles either...Alton Brown I find annoying but his knowledge is great!

I love to see what Bobby Flay will make when he's on Iron Chef America. Next time I go to NYC, I have to check out one of his restaurants!

Paula Deen kills me-I like to watch her I just couldn't eat anything she makes-would give me a heartattack!
Not an Emeril fan but one of his restaurants NOLA is fantastic!
The ones i like are:
Giada's ...everyday italian and the other to do with party , big bash??

Anything cakes, cookies, baking i love too watch

Good show if you like too travel and eat of course

All i can say is i wish he was my physics/science teacher

Semi homemade
She is good at decorating her kitchen ..she is on the wrong channel
And what is so semi homemade if she opens up a cointainer of coolwhip and stirs in some vanilla....
Emeril's too much bam ....getting too old

Hate: Alton (talks too much) Rachel Ray- getting on my nerves, she has a fake laugh- Iron chef just gross some of the stuff they have on there..no offense anyone but i cant see myself even near any of that food they make on there...Michael Smith, hate hate hate!!!

Rachel Ray is so popular, she does have some good recipes, but she is a little too goofy for my taste! The challenges are awesome, my favorite! Alton Brown can be a bit boring and tends to over complicate things, I think. Emeril, like others have said, too showy, tooo much! Sugar Rush is cool, I think the host is a bit awkward, but it is interesting!

Would LOVE to see a baker's version of Iron Chef. I want to see people who are creative AND can bake. It would be so awesome!

Here's mine.
Love:
Good Eats (Alton) - I like to know the science behind cooking. Makes it easier to adapt recipes when you know what each ingredient does.
Everyday Italian (Giada) - pretty good recipes, seem pretty simple most of the time, the recipes I've made have turned out well.
Paula Dean - Comfort food, but boy does she use a lot of butter & cream cheese!
Barefoot Contessa - Also good recipes, sometimes ingredients are expensive though.
Gale Gand - though I NEVER see it. Don't know when she's on.
USED TO LOVE: Ming Tsai (East meets West)
Like:
Rachel Ray - used to watch all the time, now she kind of gets on my nerves, but still watch occasionally. Also tried one recipe that was HORRIBLE.
Michael Chiarello (Easy Entertaining) - love his menus, but even his "meal on a budget" was $10/person.
Hate:
Sandra Lee - Though I did see a decent cherry pie recipe she made once, everything else just seems kinda gross, and both her speech & color-coordinated ensembles really annoy me.
Emeril - good recipes, just can't stand to watch the show. What an arrogant you-know-what!
Bobby Flay - don't like
Molto Mario - don't care for his show, I don't know why either.
Love the food network challenges, don't like Iron Chef, can't stand Unwrapped, but Top 5 is OK. The Secret Life of ... is OK too.
I love Ina and Martha. Rachel Ray is okay but she does seem to be faking it sometimes. Paula Deen is adorable. Iron Chef is fun to watch. I'll watch Alton if he's making something I'm interested in. No way Sandra Lee eats what she cooks and that's all I can think about when watching her. I only really hate watching Emeril and it's not his fault. The audience drives me crazy when they clap and cheer just cause he added salt

I love many shows on FoodTV. I think that is one of the most watched channels in my house.
I love:
Alton Brown - I guess that's the scientist in me. I love how he breaks down the science in cooking
Sugar Rush - mainly because of all the sugar confections that he shows and what other bakers do. The host does seem a little bit stiff.
All the Challenges
I know Gale Gand is on, but I never see her show since I'm in the lab all day.
I like Paula for her southern cooking.
I like Ina Garten too. I especially get amused when she uses butter in many things.
I don't like Rachael Ray as much anymore. Like many others have mentioned, she seems to be yakking way too much and it's starting to become annoying. I think it's also Rachael Ray overload as of late since she's been featured on many shows and her getting publicity for her new upcoming show that Oprah is producing.
Of course, anything cake or sugar related, I'll watch!
I like Alton (the science behind the food is great)
Love Paula Deen, The secret life of... is so funny,unwrapped is good but they really new episodes, top 5 is good and Tyler is real nice.
Sorry but I really can't stand Rachel RAY, She's too Cathy Lee Gifford for me.
I Think Molto Mario is kind of a strange show,And Sandra Lee Does good tablescapes but thats about it.
I like all the shows that deal with baking. About Sandra Lee, thought it was just me that finds her coordinated kitchen annoying, and she makes a cocktail to go with everything, I think she may drink too much. lol. and the show she did showing how to coat stuff with sugar (with egg whites) don't think i'll try that. she has a few good tips, never tried anything she's made. I just love rachel ray, but she does talk too much and giggle too much sometime. emeril is over-done don't watch him much anymore. Love Alton Brown, Ina Garten, and Paula Dean, Giada Del.. dont like molto mario, i don't like the way he handles food, besides he don't act like he enjoy doing what he's doing. Sugar rush is growing on me...
Ok...here's my list. Everyone knows that when I watch TV the first channel I turn to is the Food Network.

Paula's Home Cooking - She is just so enjoyable to watch. It's so funny that she doesn't hesitate to take a big ol' bite with a serving spoon no less.
Chocolate with Jaques Torres - Interesting to watch, but too advanced for me.

Sugar Rush - Good show idea, but can't stand Warren Brown.
Top 5 - I like the countdown, but Bobby Rivers is a little irritating
Behind the Bash - The inside scoop is always interesting.
Sandra Lee - I don't mind her, but I agree that she may have an alcohol problem LOL
Rachel Ray - I think my DH likes her more than me, he thinks she's hot

Rachel crazy annoying... and the fact that she is starting a magazine and then she has a new TV show sponsered by Oprah... BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH If you ask my husband the only reason she is getting what another show is because she is cute...
Behind the Bash is great especially the catering stuff... You can see what goes into events...
I like Sugar Rush but the host isn't great... I like the segments HATE with a passion what he does though... I'm not 6 and it just seems what HE does are simple for even my 6 year old...
PAULA is awesome...
Sandra Lee is crazy about the booze and that isn't great... I like the table scape thing but am like the coordinating kitchen is really over done... And also WHO's PANTRY REALLY LOOKS LIKE THAT????

Wouldn't it be awesome if Food Network did a Iron Chef each week that was solely baking/decorating??? I would SOOOOO watch that show! They could let semi-pro's take on each other...now that would be tv worth watching!
Thankgoodness I'm not the only one that thinks Rachel Ray is a Kathy Lee Gifford wannabe! She is perpetually perky and it drives me nuts!
Ok sorry...had to rant for a second. Anyway, I love the challenges, Emeril Live (Not Essence of Emeril), Alton Brown (which my boyfriend says should be on Queer eye for the straight guy), anything with Tyler Florence on it. He's a definite hottie! I'd make up an food emergency just to have him come bail me out!

And Rachel, yep, I thought it was just me... I loved to watch her long time ago, but just got tire of her perkiness and goofiness all the time...
