Does anyone use color flow to decorate their cookies? Or does everyone use royal icing?

I've never made cookies, but from what I've read, a lot of people use rolled buttercream. That'll be what I use when I finally give it a try. icon_smile.gif

I have never used color flow on cookies, but from reading most posts it appears that most people use royal icing, glaze icing or rolled buttercream. I personally use RBC with royal icing accents and it's very yummy!

Thanks. I'll try the royal icing. I'm just wondering how the texture is. I've made royal icing flowers before and they are so hard. Guess the color flow butterfly I made was pretty hard too. I like soft cookies, so I'm wondering how this will turn out. This will be my first time making decorated cookies. I want to make some for my daughter dance class.

I use rolled buttercream too. It is so much easier to use than royal, although I do use royal accents.
Have fun!

My recipe uses just enough water to thin out the royal icing, that it is easy to bite. The fat in the cookies also prevents it from being like "teeth-breaking" royal. You'll love it! thumbs_up.gif It's easy to stack them, ship them, etc.
