how cute!!! Cali4dawn may I please have that recipe again.. the one with corn syrup.. I made a BCT for a Bratz cake on sat. Don't like the way it turned out. It has alot of small detail and I think it would work better with something that flows. Thanks and love the cake!!
Josh, you did a great job! Now you can be just like Auntie Dawn
YOu taught him well!!
how neat. the boy has talent. wonder where he gets it from?!?
Actually, he's my nephew through marriage (But I've been in his life for 8 years now) ---- so I honestly can say not from me!!
Thanks everyone!
calidawn, after seeing this post & talking to you yesterday I started missing my nieces & nephew BIG TIME!!
They must have been feeling my pain because they told my sister they wanted to come for a vist!! My sister called today & she's coming tomorrow!! I can't wait!! My nieces are 15 & 10 & my nephew is 3. I baked some Easter cookies & made up some icing tonight!! It will be waiting for them when they get here!! We're going to decorate & have some fun!!! My sister never does things like this w/ her kids so I try to make up for her PLUS I love doing things like this w/ the kids!!! I'm like you I love to spoil them!!!
I'll take pics & maybe share... I just wanted to share the good news! Those kids are just a blessing to me!!! I'm soooo excited!! ![]()
Good for you!!!! i understand how you fell.
My kids are grown, still too young for grandbabies... so this is my only chance to spoil any "youngins" at the moment.
We are strict... but, yes, we spoil rotten. It helps that we're big kids ourselves.
Thought I'd share my day with you guys,
I baked all the cookies & made icing last night. I was ready for my sisters kids!! They did a really great job decorating the cookies. My nephew is 3 & he couldn't keep his tips away from his mouth. He kept saying look Aunt Tina I'm making a cookie for you.. then he'd lick the tip!!
Gotta love him. ![]()
Then the crisis for the day... He got his little arm stuck in the diningroom chair!!!! My son was pulling his arm one way & my Mom was pulling the other way. Poor Daniel (my nephew) was screaming his head off!! ![]()
I finally yelled for them to stop & let one person pull his arm out. Mom let go so my son got his arm out. I kept thinking my goodness are we gonna have to call 911... then I thought DA Tina.... you are all in the Fire Dept!! We handle stuff like that all the time! It's different when it's one of your own!!!
We managed to get through all that!!!!
I made dinner for everyone & now I am pooped!!! All in all my nieces & nephew had so much fun! My sister even decorated some cookies! She was amazed about how easy it was to use a deco bag & tips! It's funny how people are scared to do things or think it will be too hard so they don't try it. I'm just like that!! I can't wait for their next visit!!! ![]()
I'm so glad you had such fun Tina... kids are such a joy to have around!!
