So this was quite a challenge but we got through it and I love how it turned out! Our client just wanted the mama giraffe, baby giraffe and a tea cup and the rest of the design was whatever we wanted to do as long as we incorporated the colors given! Love that! I feel like we are harder on ourselves when givn free reign and we want to create something different and beautiful. I really wanted the colors to mesh well and I think the gumpaste flower added just that extra little something.

Poppy Field Wedding Cake

One year ago I made grass decorated cake (Sky is the limit - in my pictures) and planned to do a series of similar wedding cakes from then, inspired by different types of flowers like lavender, peony, poppy, then sea-side, one of the famous castles in Bretagne and many more. Unfortunately did not have time till now. It was also inspired by a gorgeous Blue Poppy cake by Fondant Flinger which is one of my most favorite cakes ever and by a sad story of Elcee that I have read here on CC some time ago and her beautiful poppy cake.

Safari Themed Jungle Birthday Cake

This is a birthday cake I made for my niece's safari themed party. The tree, sign and animals were all made from modeling chocolate. The bamboo pieces were made from gumpaste. The leopard print was hand painted and the zebra stripes were made from thin pieces of fondant. The leaves on the tree were RKT.
