Winter Wonderland
Loved creating this Christmas cake for the November issue of Cake Masters Magazine 2016. A full tutorial with coloured photos and step by step instructions took quite a bit of work....but I was so happy how it turned out. I hope you like it too! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tastefully-Yours-Cake-Art/299140846945084 https://www.instagram.com/tastefullyyourscakeart/

Geode Wedding
I was very honoured to be asked to contribute to the September issue of Cake Central magazine. The middle tier was handpainted to bring out the amazing hues of the natural stone. The black tier reflects the stone in its original form uncut and the handdrawn geometric pattern is a close up of the stone if you were looking through a microscope. I made a trail of earthy flowers to make it softer and more like a wedding cake. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tastefully-Yours-Cake-Art/299140846945084 https://www.instagram.com/tastefullyyourscakeart/

Happy Halloween
A combined birthday and Halloween cake for a lovely lady's hubby. I am a bit squeamish so it is pretty tame. I was inspired by the work of Tamara and added my own touches like the chains and the bats flying out from under the top hat. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tastefully-Yours-Cake-Art/299140846945084 https://www.instagram.com/tastefullyyourscakeart/

Easter Birthday Blessings
This is a very very special cake I created for my beloved brother who turned the big 'five 0' on Sunday. He is a Catholic priest and the feast was Palm Sunday...which the liturgical colour is red. His request was only for the praying hands, but I wanted to make his day extra special by adding the stained glass window tier...also for Holy Week and Easter Sunday. The top tier is a soft marbled icing with the hands drawn directly onto the cake. I'm not sure if it was madness or divine inspiration that made me take on this task of copying the famous drawing by the German artist Albrecht Durer! The stained glass window is also all hand painted directly onto the cake. This was based on a beautiful window of a church in America. The gold icing trim added a touch of class to go with my new cake stand I got for Christmas. The cake needed to travel 250 kms to his party as he is now based in regional Victoria! Wishing all members of Cake Central a happy and holy Easter. xx Marianne https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tastefully-Yours-Cake-Art/299140846945084 https://www.instagram.com/tastefullyyourscakeart/

Casey's Cake
Loved making a mother and daughter so incredibly happy when they celebrated Casey’s 21st birthday. She lost her Dad to cancer last year so it was a bittersweet celebration. Her Mum sent me photos of the dress she was wearing to make the figurine she wanted to keep. Her name is handpainted and the stencil overpiped with royal icing to add more texture. Thanks to Eva Salazar for her flying bow tutorial on Craftsy. Casey had the love of her many friends and family to make it a very special night. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tastefully-Yours-Cake-Art/299140846945084 https://www.instagram.com/tastefullyyourscakeart/

Persian Palace
This is my very first cake post to this site.... Hope you all like it! The theme for this lovely ladies party was Arabian Nights. She is a doctor and a very spiritual person so I wanted to capture the majesty of Arabian architecture and the magnificent mosques of that region. It was a very large cake and it is ALL cake…apart from the pillars. This was definitely a challenge, but I was very happy how it turned out…..and so was she. All the detail is handpainted. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tastefully-Yours-Cake-Art/299140846945084 https://www.instagram.com/tastefullyyourscakeart/
