I was very honoured to be asked to contribute to the September issue of Cake Central magazine. The middle tier was handpainted to bring out the amazing hues of the natural stone. The black tier reflects the stone in its original form uncut and the handdrawn geometric pattern is a close up of the stone if you were looking through a microscope. I made a trail of earthy flowers to make it softer and more like a wedding cake.
