Two-Sided Travel Cake
My aunt asked me to make this cake for her friends’ 25th wedding anniversary. They love to travel and participate in classic car rallys, which is how I came up with the two-sided design. The waves were inspired by ‘stormy nights’, but I don’t know who made it. Red velvet with toffee cream cheese frosting. Thanks for looking.

Elephant Paradise
I really enjoyed making this cake that was inspired by a sketch that I found on the internet. It was a red velvet cake with dried cherries and a filling of amarena cherries and cream cheese frosting with rum and chocolate flakes. Both peanut and elephants are sculpted with almond paste. Thanks for looking. :)

Mushrooms
"Please do not make it too sweet," my friend asked me, so I chose to bake the spiced walnut and carrot cake that recently was in a CC newsletter. It turned out really well and the cream cheese frosting served for nice white stems. :D Ever since I saw it in a book by Alan Dunn, I wanted to try old man's beard, and this was a good opportunity. I love it together with the oak, ivy, and snowberries. There was a squirrel that wanted to gather acorns, but it was too fast for the camera. ;) Thanks for looking.

Pharmacy
I made this wonky cake for my aunt who gave it to her friend who owns a pharmacy, hence the medical plants and the pill topper. The spray includes ivy, ginkgo, passion flower, oak, and mistletoe. The cakes were a red velvet and a hazelnut cake with chocolate chips, both filled with toffee cream cheese frosting. Thanks to everyone for the inspiration.

My Favourite Orchids
I made this arrangement for the competition at the first Cake Cologne cake show. It was my first competition, so I did not know what to expect. I just tried to do my best and get the flowers there in one piece... and then they won GOLD as well as "best of category". I was so stunned! I want to dedicate this to my grandma who gave me my first cake decorating book that included the sweet pea wedding cake by Alan Dunn. She loved orchids. The flowers are papilionanthe teres, oncidium sharry baby, rhynchostele galeottiana, and dendrobium liberty.

Merry Christmas Poinsettia
I'm so excited about this cake! First, the poinsettia was my first. Second, the mistletoe and rose hips also were my first. Third, the frost. I'm so glad that the frost worked! The cake was a fruit cake with melon, pineapple, mango, and papaya, covered first with marzipan then fondant. It was a big hit. :D Thanks to everyone for all the inspiration here on CC and Merry Christmas!

First Winter Flowers
A red wine cake with bramble jelly that I made for one of mom's friends who opened a cafe. Usually being the one who makes the cakes she was thrilled to get one as a present for her first business day. I'm happy with how the flowers turned out as both the mistletoe and the hellebores were my first. :) Thanks for looking.

Mini Topsy Turvy
I'm so happy that this birthday wonky cake turned out like I imagined it! It's about 8 inches tall, plus the wires. :D Thanks to CakeItQLD who inspired the two coloured chips around the bases. I made red velvet and filled one pan before adding the colouring and cocoa in order to get two flavours, cream cheese frosting, fondant. My friend loved it! Thanks for looking!

Fux Und Haase
When my friends asked me last year if I would make their wedding cake I was thrilled but also really anxious. The bride asked for mostly white, natural, with sweet peas, and decadent as well as for chocolate cakes for the groom. Well, in the end I did not make sweet peas but both bride and groom were thrilled with their cake. They also loved the taste which was moist chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting in the top tier, coconut brownies with dark chocolate ganache in the middle tier, as well as white chocolate cake with white chocolate cream cheese frosting in the bottom tier. With practice and loads of inspiration on CC the design changed several times over the months. I still can not believe that I did it, but I am proud of the result. I want to thank Milkmaid42 for her support and the pudding mix that is not available here and kak7, Lilli13 and Branka2008 for inspiration. Thanks to CC in general.

Cymbidium Orchids
A friend asked me to make these orchids to go along with a gift of money, so I wrapped the notes around a wooden stick to look like a support for the plant. Last year I made a similar cake with an artificial orchid, this time they're gumpaste! YAY! I'm so happy with how they turned out. Thanks for looking.
