Golf Island
A repost with a better photo of the chocolate cake for a golf lover, covered with marzipan. The cover overlapped again on the sides. For the island character of the cake it's okay, but I'd still like to get it smooth one day. I appreciate any suggestion on how to solve this problem. Water and grass are cream cheese frosting, marzipan accents, rock candy and jelly fruits. TFL

First Wavy Cake
Actually this was a trial and error cake as there were a lots of first times: first waves, first ganache, first chocolate fondant (which was pretty stubborn), first modelling chocolate. The latter crumbled after setting so I used marzipan for the swirls which stuck to my fingers instead of to the cake. Oh, well... The design was inspired by Coral3's cake. TFL

Board Game
I made this version of "Mensch ?rgere dich nicht" (I think it's called Ludo in English) for a friend's birthday. The bottom is made of rice wafers and chocolate, topped with rice pudding, and chopped fresh fruit between the layers of pudding. I used marzipan for the gaming pieces and dice, the pick-up-sticks are bought cookie sticks. Enjoy.

Safari - Hippos & Acacia
So this is my second topsy turvy, a 10 inch chocolate and 8 inch yoghurt cake, I made for my aunts 60th birthday last Saturday. Sand and termite mound are made of rum truffle mass. I used candy rocks for decoration. The hippos and the waterfall are made of marzipan. The acacia was my first attempt at fondant. I appreciate constructive criticism as I struggled through some tasks making this cake. Please help me to get better. Thanks for looking.

Applebasket
Sponge cake filled with plum butter and stewed apples as well as with apple buttercream (vanilla custard made with apple juice instead of milk and later mixed with butter) on the second layer. Its also covered with apple buttercream. Slices of a red apple are arranged to a basket and combined with nectarine, bramble, grapes, and cape gooseberries. The side of the cake is covered with chopped and fried almonds. Dessert chocolate rolls, peppermint leaves, and After Eight mints for decoration. TFL

Cat & Paint
I made it! My first topsy turvy cake! It didnt turn out as expected, but they never do. LOL It also was my first cream cheese pound cake, 10 inch, combined with an 8 inch yoghurt cake. My mom asked me to make it for her retiring colleague who has a cat and plans to start painting again. I wanted to use buttercream for the first time, but as it was quite hot here and we have no a/c I decided to resort to what I know. So the cake got a marzipan cover and plain conf. sugar icing. All accents also are modelled out of marzipan. A big thank you goes to v-rock605 who helped a lot. Thanks for all the tips. Ill definitely try it again (when it isnt so hot anymore).

Practice Cupcakes
Okay, so I tried to make fondant again. My second attempt turned out to be better but still a bit crumbling. Is it normal that the parts don't stick together like with marzipan when you're making figures? The turtle lost its head when it dried... Anyway, they are my first red velvet cuppies with choco sugar icing and fondant as well as cream cheese frosting with sprinkles, candy eggs (couldn't get jelly beans), chocolate, blackberry jelly, and coconut rasps. Concrit very much appreciated! Thanks for looking.

Carrot Cake
Hello fellow CakeCentral decorators. This is my first carrot cake, made for my granduncle's 80th birthday. I decorated it with what I know as American icing (maybe someone can tell me how you call it, because I guess that its not its original name: its egg white, syrup and sugar whipped over hot water) and handmade marzipan carrots. I hope that this one wont get lost between the other posts as quickly as my other cakes. Being new on CC Im still trying to find the right time to post. As Im new to all of this Im hoping for some constructive criticism. Thank you for looking.

Sushi
A different kind of sushi cake with the bottom made of real rice wafers and chocolate, topped with rice pudding. There is chopped fruit between the layers. It is decorated with fruit, kiwi, mango, strawberry, papaya, and nectarine. I put the rest of fruits and rice into the bowl, china and chopsticks are real. Thanks for looking.
