ok....I made a Tinkerbell today....she isnt finished.....I still have to give her a face...I just havent decided....more less figured out how Im gonna do it...probably paint it on...
please give me your opinions on her...because if I need to change anything i can still do it...she will be placed a big fondant flower.....Im talking more about her herself....
ex...I think she looks chubby...hahahaha, maybe I should just re-do it!
sorry the picture isnt very good....
I think it is very cute.. She is a bit chubby for the "real" tinkerbell... but I think it makes her really cute...Great job and sooooo creative..
she looks like she's either:
a) contemplating some cute little butterfly
or
b) contemplating revenge on PP for running off w/ Wendy
--------------
very cute!!!! I LIKE IT!

are you doing "Tinks" version of "does this --- make me look fat??
She is absolutely adorable. I wouldn't change a thing. You did an awesome job. You are so talented. Do you have a picture of her face that you can copy? Go idea to paint it on.
ok I will be honest I do like her but I think if you can roll her stomach a little in the middle, giver her wrist a little more thinness maybe just carve out a little in the groves she would look even better. I would use a tooth pick to make the groves (carve out some fingers) and maybe a few natural bends in the legs and arms. I would paint the face to prevent any chubbiness of the facial features.... sorry I use to play with clay a lot. The toothpick is my best friend or needle. I don't think you have to do her over just carve out where you can and strech/condence a bit in teh waist.
Actually I love her just as she is. I seriously don't think you need to "thin" her down at all....remember the camera adds 10lbs! I think once you get the face painted on that she is going to be perfect! I wouldn't mess with the toothpick & making lines, etc.....I think it would change the look you are goiing for too much...KWIM?
I think she's adorable! I wouldn't change anything in fear of messing her up! I like the slightly chubby version of her. She looks like Tinkerbell as a younger girl. I love her!
ah, i think she's sweet. i wish i could do that. course, i've never tried and i am pretty good at sculpting....but i dunno....leave her the way she is...she's perfect.....
btw...i love your avatar...jay and silent bob ROCK!!
Can't wait to see the finished product.
Good luck on the face.
Do what you think is necessary.
You are your toughest critic!
see what I get for speaking out...jk
My suggestions are more of an idea I do like her and she is good as is but if you are not happy and want to do more they are just ideas.
She is like Twinsy--unique and special just as she is! Add a face and leave her as is! No need to look like an exact Tinkerbell--that'd make her like Barbie, perky and fake.
Well, you asked for it and I guess you got it, honesty, huh? IMHO, I can't wait to see what expression you give her. Right now she looks like a toddler version of Tink and I really like the idea of a baby Tink!
I like her just as she is. She is a little chubby, but I think that makes unique, and very endearing. She's precious........ cherubic.
twiny
just thought i'd tell you that my son was walking by when i started reading your post & he said "THAT'S TINKERBELL" so i think that she's perfect & you did a great job can't wait to see her finished!!!!!!!!!
Twinsy, I think you did a perfect job. I really like her. Post a pic of her face please.

Have you guys actually watched Peter Pan lately and not just looked at the merchandise? I have (my 3 year old son loves everything girly and Tink is right up there). Tinkerbell is not skinny like so many cartoons today. She's got some meat on her bones! I think it's great . . . and the facial expression will add so much. I say don't put Tink under the knife. Leave her as she is!
thank you SO much you guys!!! I think Im just going to add to her...and not change her....
she really does have the look that all my little figures get from me....I dont like to give them fingers and toes.....I prefer the "mitten hand" look to them. which is what ge was saying about not changing the look Im going for! I have to constantly tell myself...its just fondant!
SHE DOESNT HAVE A FACE YET ZAMODE!!! ...Im afraid to try and paint it! Im still debating how to do it....
and doug.....WHY....does she look fat in that???.....is it the wings? its the dress isnt it!! I KNEW it was the dress.....oh...maybe she should change!!!
Well where were ya all this time?! Thought you were putting on a face!
I like her wings and her dress is fine! Don't change her, then she will be a conformist and alter the ideals that should be taught to the child it is going to.
I think what is this world coming to when we set out to give a fondant figure body-image issues???????
By the way this Tinkerbell is absolutely fabulous and I can't wait to see the finished product!
YOURE CRACKING ME UP ZAMODE!!
Thanks you guys....I wouldve seriously torn her apart all night!!! I'll show you when she is done....
Good points Delights!
What is the cake going to look like, Twinsy? Is this for a birthday? What ya got in mind?
I love her as is! She looks great and adorable! Can't wait to see the finished product! Great job!
