Special cake for a special one year old. Top layer is vanilla cake, bottom is chocolate, middle pillar is rice krispie treats covered in fondant. Animals are no fail sugar cookies covered in MMF. Took a long time, but it was a hit.
Thanks for all the kinds words. Bottom layers are chocolate with BC and the top layer is a vanilla cake & BC shaped (like the picture I had in my head!) The accents medalions & flowers are MMF made ahead & added the day I constructed the cake. The top is on a plastic cakeboard for support and sits on the center column made of rice krispie treats which held well. It was removed for cutting. I attached the cookie animals with rc on sticks measured to also support the top layer of the cake.

Sorry for the typo, it was royal icing used to attach the cookies to the sticks.
