the customer sent me a picture of this cake and asked me if i could do it...i hesitated a while, but then said yes. she never told me that some of the pieces were plastic, which would have made it a lot easier for me. i had to do it all with icing. she didn't want to crown or flag or princesses, said she was changing it to be a my little pony cake. never again!! the flowers and hearts are royal icing the rest is buttercream. i used construction paper to make the cutout that went around the castle.
I think it looks great! I ordered this cake from a bakery for my daughter's third birthday. Then I found out you can ordered the 'kit' for the plastic pieces online. the kit also comes with a free sash and tiera! My daughter loved it!!! If my other daughter wants it - i will order the kit and do it myself - i am sure by then something else will be new.
