thanks. i did the quilt on the sides with a tracing wheel and a cardboard strip. then i painted the plaid effect using gin and luster dust. the roses are gumpaste made using a silicone press mold.

Ohh I love this cake-- I saw this done with yellow & daisies in The Lion House cook book/wedding book-- something like that! I thought it was such a cute idea and wanted to try it sometime. Very nice!

Oh man, I love this plaid!! What a great design! I was straining my brain trying to figure out how you get all those squares to stick. lol So now I have to know where to get the rose and dainty leaf molds. I'll pm you so you get the question.
