This was a very last minute cake. The birthday girl had seen a cake with a puppy I made before and desperately wanted a 'puppy cake' for her birthday. Mom asked me if I could make it on such short notice. The girl has a puppy labrador chocolate brown and her favourite dog, a blond labrador, had just died. I made the chocolate one as a cake topper, as her mom requested, but also made the blond one, kind of hidden underneath a blanket behind the cake. Sort of symbolic. The girl loved it and her mom told me later that no one was allowed to touch the puppy's and they now sleep next to her bed. Too cute!!! Vanilla Sky cake (own recipe, very fluffy vanilla cake with strawberry and cream filling) covered in vanilla fondant. Pups also made out of fondant. Thanks for looking!
