Batman
Batman cake for my little superhero's 4th birthday tomorrow. It is my take on the popular Wilton 'spiderman' cake. I also used a cake from the whimsical bakehouse book as my inspiration. I can tell I have been out of practice for awhile. I had a little trouble with the buttercream this time. I think I am starting to prefer fondant! Only the 2nd time I have stacked a buttercream cake, boy I find fondant stacking much easier! The images are chocolate transfers and the batman is a candle. TFL!
:D Lookin Good!
My son wants that for his 6th birthday this summer...guess I better start practicing! Your colors are great. What brand of candy colors did you use?
very cool!!!
They are wilton candy melts. I rarely have to add candy colors, I just mix the candy melts together to get other colors. I have used wilton and chefmasters. Chefmasters is nice because it comes in a nice squeeze bottle.
I love it!!! I've got to learn how to make the choc and FBCT. Great job, even the board is special.
Wow looks fantastic. Love the taxi's and with all the great things going on in the cake I have to say your bottom border is great
WOW, my son would have loved that!
Merrisa, you do great work!! I love your CT's they always look great.
Merissa, this is AMAZING!!! Your chocolate transfer cakes (and everything else you make, too!!) are so fantastic!!! I'll bet your little superhero LOVED his cake!!
Wow you did an amazing job!!! :D
very cool!

You have really cute stuff!!! I think I agree with you, it took me a while, but I am preferring fondant as well now.
