Thanks everyone! I actually just used the Champagne Buttercream for the Black piping. It was very smooth because of how much color it took so I didn't have to worry about breakage. I did use some patterns to start some of the design and then just kept adding to it. My champagne cake actually cooked to the top of my 2" pan so I have (2) 2" layers & about an inch of filling & icing so I guesstimate about 5" tall tiers. It didn't actually look that big in person though...lol
Thanks again everyone! I always just use wooden dowels that I've cut. I can't afford the plastic dowels even though I like them better...lol Usually I use a center dowel but I actually forgot with this one but since there was no filling and it had been refrigerated overnight I wasn't too worried thank goodness!!
