My first Attempt making a gumpaste shoe!!. This was my favorite cake of the week! I used a real shoe as a guide that I purchased and cut up to cut out the pieces. Glued each bit together let dry, airbushed and painted the rest, etc... Thanks for looking
Awesome. It looks so real. Great work.

That would have been a good idea to make a pattern!!! I looked a the cut out pieces and free handed it. The orginal shoe had straps so I tossed them in the trashed and kept the sole and hill of the shoe

Is the leopard print on the cake part an edible image? That's awesome, whatever it is!
Fantastic Job! Love the leopard. How did you do the leopard on the sides of the cake? Is it painted on BC or Fondant? Going to the favorites!!!!!!
wow it's awesome! Gotta know how you did the leopard print! [email protected]
Yes the print was done with an icing image, that was the easiest part.
Great Job!
This is fabulous! I tried to make a Manolo Blahnik shoe over the weekend to go w/ a cake I made; but the gumpaste would not harden up after 3 days. Could humidity have played a part in that? It was my first attempt also!
Meeka, you worked that shoe girl!!!!! Ok, I have the ability to produce edible images where did you get the leopard print? I have to make a shoe now....you are my inspiration....LOL AWESOME CAKE!!!!!!
It is awesome!!
I find images online by doing a image search. I used the new Wilton ready made gumpaste it dries very fast.
great job!!! I would like the instruction also
the instructions (not word for word now I didn't write it down) is under the main picture
Excellent Job, please give instructions
Meeka, girl, that is bad. My sister sells shoes over the internet, and this is going to be perfect for her b-day, do you mind if borrow?
of course not!
Amazing Job Meeka!! I absolutely love this cake. The shoe is amazing.
Love it ! Great job !
How much did you charge for this cake? Edible images cost £8.50 here. So the edible images for all the sides itself would have cost me £68.00!
I charged about $275.00 for the cake
