This cake was made to match the giraffe partyware for my son's 1st birthday. The cake is decorated in buttercream. I made the giraffe on top out of polymer clay; I decided not to use fondant, since I wanted to save it afterwards. I think this is the best hand-lettering I've ever done. :D
