I'm taking Course 2 and need to make the different colors of royal icing. I planned to take them to class tomorrow in some tupperware bowls as the directions said "airtight container". A friend of mine said that no, the icing will separate. Huh??

Any help would be greatly appreciated since I'm really new at all this. Thanks!

I would just take the RI in airtight containers and give it a whip before you fill your piping bag.

If you beat it enough in the 1st place it will not seperate no matter what container used to transport it. Oooohhhhhh one more thing: Make *sure* the container especially if plastic - is totally grease free. That also could have contiributed to her icing seperating.
