Concrete Cake
This cake was a happy accident for me. I wanted to hand carve the ganache, embedding roses all over. I didn’t like it so decided to ganache over it, which resulted in some of the carving being exposed. I loved it so I kept it and added more details. The flowers are wafer paper. I liked the contrast between the dainty flowers and the rough concrete finish. The cake is for my son-in-law who, though rough around the edges, loves flowers and pretty things ❤️

Wafer Paper Texture
I will be participating in my very first wedding expo in March! I want to include a cake featuring wafer paper. I’m not sure how many brides are familiar with wafer paper, but thought I’d throw it out there. I was going to pitch this dummy halfway through, but instead went wild with it. I think the result is pretty dramatic. The Rose is wafer paper. I wonder how brides will receive it. In any case, I gotta do me

Cake In Bloom
This cake makes me happy because....FLOWERS! My favorite part of cake creation is crafting edible flowers. These are wafer paper, but I also love working with gumpaste and rice paper. As I attached the flowers, the cake came to life in a really magical way. I just love it. Inspiration drawn from Miss Elena Gnut, an incredibly gifted artist.

Shabby Chic Wafer Paper Cake
This cake has been wrapped with wafer paper scraps from my collection of prints applied randomly to create an overall ‘shabby chic’ effect. The complimentary flower and branches are made from the same prints, each petal and leaf cut by hand to avoid uniformity. The wafer paper has been highlighted with gold luster to add a little sparkle

Spring Floral Drip Cake
This is a sad story really. I made this cake for a friend with the intention of shipping it to her. I did my research and packed it so very carefully but, alas, it arrived at her home completely destroyed. Such a shame. I liked this one. At least she will be forever beautiful in her photo. The cake is rosewater with strawberry buttercream. The flowers are sugar.

Rustic Cake Featuring Wafer Paper David Austin Rose
This cake was made with all sorts of love for my mother on Mother’s Day. It features a wafer paper David Austin Rose with an aged finish. I’ve been thinking for months about how to capture its beauty with wafer paper, and finally put my ideas to work. I love the result. The cake is wrapped with distressed wafer paper to add to the vintage look.

Evie’S Pink Doodle Cake
I’m really enjoying working with icing sheets! This is an image I downloaded from Shutterstock and added graphics and text specific to the birthday girl, who just turned 19. It includes all of the things she loves. I love this process. I do all of the graphics on my iPhone! Crazy. The flower is wafer paper. Happy Birthday Evie

Girl Power Basketball Cake
I made this cake for my niece, Reagan, who is a basketball star! She just turned 12. She has so many interests I couldn’t possibly fit them all on one cake! I use four different programs to create the graphic image and print it off on an icing sheet with my edible ink printer. The top is decorated with chocolates.

Vintage Wafer Paper Floral
This is a buttercream cake texturized and dusted with copper luster. The flowers are crafted from wafer paper, and painted with copper and cinnamon dust. The first thing I thought when I saw the pictures was that it looks old world, perfectly aged, and that aging is beautiful.

Lavender Drip With Fresh Flowers
I thought this little cake, filled with wild blueberry compote and fluffy Swiss meringue buttercream, deserved some fresh flowers, fancy sprinkles, silver leaf, and a white chocolate drape. I made this alongside two much larger and more elaborate cakes, but this one stole the show

Little Black Dress
This is the largest cake I have ever made! Five tiers of velvety black chocolate ganache, seven if you include the two double barrel cakes. The black cake is really the star of the show I think, but I added some wafer paper for fun. 53 dowels! All cut with my little miter box. Great to have on hand

The Royal Linnenbrinks
Two smash cakes and a party cake to celebrate Gus and Ava’s first birthday. The cakes are wrapped with a design I put together through several different apps. I do most of this work from my IPhone. Amazing what you can do with one little device. The flowers and crowns are wafer paper.
