Dignare Me Laudare Te Virgo Sacrata
One more time, I had the honor to make a wedding cake for two lovely young ladies entering religious life. They provide me the "Parable of the Precious Pearl" as their inspiration for this occasion. I also introduced the blue and white since those are the colors in their religious habits. The cake is covered and decorated with homemade white chocolate fondant. Details in pastillage, edible pearls and royal icing. The monogram was piped in an acetate sheet and frosted with pearl, then framed in pastillage. Flowers in a mix of 50%fondant - 50%pastillage... worked great! Inside, it was white and chocolate cake with chocolate and soft caramel filling.
