I had so much fun putting this cake together for my latest Craftsy class (Elegant Techniques) as one of the inspiration cakes. I'm so excited to finally share it!! I made this cake as part of my latest class which was all about textures. The bottom herringbone wood is a no-paint effect I fell in love with. My daughter had a shirt with the rouching texture on it, so I decided I "needed" to figure out how to put it on a cake and loved how it turned out. Then the hammered copper was the icing on the cake! It turned out to be such a fun, sophisticated, urban chic sort of cake. Thanks for looking!
