Herringbone Wood, Rouch & Hammered Copper Cake

I made this cake as part of my latest class which was all about textures. The bottom herringbone wood is a no-paint effect I fell in love with. My daughter had a shirt with the rouching texture on it, so I decided I "needed" to figure out how to put it on a cake and loved how it turned out. Then the hammered copper was the icing on the cake! It turned out to be such a fun, sophisticated, urban chic sort of cake. Thanks for looking!
LOVE this cake!!!!
Love this!!! I would love to know how you did the hammered copper effect!

Wonderful! Lovin' the hammered copper effect!
phenomenal textures!
So beautiful. All of the cakes in that class are just gorgeous. I got your blog email with the discount link for your class and bought it immediately. Although I don't do cakes, I love watching how you create all these beautiful textures.
Thank you for all the sweet words!! I teach these textures and a whole lot more in my newest Craftsy class. You can find out more about it here:
