Square Wedding Cake, Ivory With Scrollwork, Chocolate Fondant Bow
This is my beautiful daughter-in-law's cake that I made for their wedding this past weekend. She chose an Ivory square cake, with scrollwork and chocolate fondant bow. The top tier is Italian Cream, second tier is Strawberry with strawberry filling, and the bottom tier is white cake.

Cakecentralgroomjosh.jpg
Groom's cake for son-in-law, travel issues, carried cake 75 miles, had to make two days in advance, high heat and humidity, but overall, I'm pleased. Fish is made of fondant, everything else is buttercream, the flower girl destroyed the greenery that was supposed to be put around the bottom of the cake, que sera!!

Groom's Cake, Bass Fishing, Bass Fish, Groom
MMF, foil 'form' wrapped in masking tape, covered in MMF, fins glued on with royal, 'painted' with gel colors and clear vanilla. I used a 'mounted bass' as my inspiration, I want the fish to be 'jumping' out of the water on top of a three-tiered groom's cake...will post final pics of cake after August 4th, but I had to share the fish now...thanks to all of you for advice...that's what this site is all about, Thank God for CC!

Pool Table - Billiards
This bride and groom wanted a 'pool table' cake. I made a wooden stand for the cake stand with wooden legs to look like a table (can't really see the stand) and then used a double layer 11 x 15, with the center cut out of the second layer...etc! Balls are gumballs with numbers painted on and pool sticks are dowel rods I also painted.

Confirmation Cross With Red Roses
This cake was done for the reception at my son's Confirmation. Got rave reviews. I just used a 12 x 18 with a cross on top, then iced and let crust. After it crusted, I took thinned icing and a paper towel and 'sponged' icing on to give it the stucco effect. Laid my roses out, then placed a Wilton dove on top!

Mounted Deer
This is my rendition of the mounted deer. It was fun to make, and not really that hard. I think I got him a little too 'dark', but I liked the way my camouflage came out. I just iced the cake with a light juniper green, tinted more icing dark juniper and brown, smeared it on, used silk leaves of different varieties to 'pattern press' into the icing after it was smooth.
