This is a double barrel Cake I made for the annual Spanish collaboration of Spring. This year the theme was art and I choose as inspiration a Theodor Aman( roumanian XlX century painting artist) and his painture "Lilacs" I worked for two weeks on the flowers for this Cake, as I needed 1200 little lilac flowers for it. Hope you like it.
The urge of organising this collaboration came after the terrible terrorist attacks in Paris on 13th November 2015. A date we will never forget. And as in the latest years many attacks happened in several cities, we wanted to spread a message of peace, solidarity and anti-violence by making a sugar creation to bring more sweetness in this mad world. 80 cake decorators around the world came together for this beautiful cause of peace. L'idée d'organiser cette collaboration est tombée après les terribles attentats terroristes à Paris le 13 Novembre 2015. Ce jour que nous ne oublierons jamais . Et malheureusement ces dernières années, de nombreux attentas ont frappés partout dans le monde.
