This buttercream frosted cake is made of 6", 8", and 10" rounds, two per tier. All decorations are made of gumpaste and/or fondant. Topper....Although the Stargazer lily shows up well, the 3 large black music notes do not. You can partially see two of them, one on either side of the lily. There were 75 matching cupcakes to complete this order. All cupcake decorations are made from gumpaste. Christmas Candle cakes are WASC torted several times, frosted in buttercream then covered in fondant. The tallest candle is three 6 x 3 cakes and the smaller one is two 6 x 3's. Decorations are comprised of fondant, sugarpaste and a 50/50 mix of both for the snowman border.

Wonder Mold on a 12" base for a little girl's bday. She loves Tink and princess and HAD to have both! :) She also HAD to have all pink and purple so this is what I came up with for her. She was so excited! All buttercream except HB banner and leaves. TFL! :)
In this picture of the Stargazer Lilies I noted the non-glazed one and the other three that are glazed with a 50/50 mix of Confectioners Glaze and Confectioners Glaze Thinner. This cake was made for a 40ish guy who was celebrating his Birthday and Graduating with another college degree, thus the burgundy and gold colors. Chocolate fudge cake with chocolate fudge filling, frosted with buttercream.
Made for a little girls 6th birthday. She is learning to bowl! :) All buttercream with chocolate and gumpaste decorations. Two 8" Fr. Vanilla and two 6" Chocolate fudge rounds. Cake topper is 6 solid chocolate pins and balls sitting on top of a plate made of a fondant covered cardboard. Feathers are genuine. I drilled holes in each of the pins on the topper then placed a candle in each one.
I thought it was really special that this young birthday man wanted an Army medal on his all chocolate birthday cake! He even provided me with a picture of his favorite Army medal and ask if I could make that on his cake. This little guy wants to join the Army as soon as he is old enough so he can fight for his country too! Isn't that neat!! All chocolate fudge cake and filling, chocolate buttercream frosting and decorations.
Customer requested a carnival theme cake to match the party napkins and this is what I came up with. I was lucky to find two different papers to cover the board in and match the napkin very closely! Lots of fun making this cake! French vanilla cake and filling. Buttercream frosting and decorations. Clown heads and balloons are the plastic ones.
This cake was fun to do and was ordered as a "Just Because You are Special" cake. Her fiance is a Jeff Gordon and NASCAR fan and she wanted to give him something special to kick off the racing season. Chocolate fudge cake and filling, covered in chocolate fondant. Flags are fondant/gumpaste.

This cake was made to match the theme of the baby shower, see additional photos for picture of the napkin. The lady I made this cake for had even me excited about this upcoming baby and I don't even know who they are! Nonetheless, I got lots of enjoyment just making this cake for them and I thought the colors were great! :) All french vanilla cakes, filling and buttercream. The cake topper is made of a fondant covered cardboard circle with gumpaste baby shoes sitting on top of it. The ribbon is purchased. because I thought it matched perfectly!
Aaaaah, as requested by my precious little granddaughter, a 3 tier pink/black/white Zebra cake with feathers and each tier a different flavor of cake! The 10" base is chocolate fudge, 8" middle tier is vanilla, and the top 6" tier is strawberry and all hers! LOL :) Cake board is covered in fondant and has little feathers scattered here and there all around it. I then covered the board in clear shelf liner so she could "keep it forever"! The name tag is made of gumpaste. It was a LOT of cake but she had her party at the Roller Skating Rink so there was not a problem with to much cake being left over! :) She is already designing her 8th bday cake.....Hmmmmm, wonder what I'll be making for that one! :):)
This is an all french vanilla flavored cake/filling/frosting. The blue water is homemade piping gel I made from the CC recipe "Piping Gel that works" posted by JanH. It really does work and it tastes like a lemon pie! Delicious! The sand is crushed graham crackers. Golfer, bench and flag are plastic. Everything else is made from all buttercream and sugarpaste, including the golf balls and tee's going around the cake back and sides. Made from 2 stacked 1/4 sheets.
This Topsy Turvy was for a Sweet 16 Birthday! The bday girl sent me various pics, each having something she liked and wanted on her special cake, so, I had very specific design directions for this cake. I think the cake reflects her fun and whimsical personality! :) Bottom tier is two 14" x 3" fr. vanilla cakes filled with cheesecake filling, middle tier is two 10" x 3" chocolate fudge cake with chocolate filling, top tier is two 6" x 3" fr vanilla with cheesecake filling. Cakes are frosted in buttercream, all fondant & gumpaste accents/designs, dragees joining each diamond and genuine 12" Ostrich Feathers. The "16" is made of solid gumpaste which I made holes down the center of then stuck the candles down into those holes so only the wick is showing from the top of the numbers. Bday girl wanted it to look like the numbers 1 and 6 were on fire, yet be edible. TFL!!
Daisies seem to be what everyone wants this Spring and that's OK because I love working with them! :) This is a two layer 8" WASC cake with all buttercream filling and frosting. All flowers, leaves, ladybugs, the name tag and the bow are made from White Chocolate Fondant mixed with a little gumpaste. I have quite a few ladybugs and daisies left over so think I'll make up some cute Spring cuppies!
This is my first car cake and it was a bit intimidating for me!! My little grandson loves racing cars and he wanted a car cake for his birthday! This is what I ended up with for him and he loved it. The next one won't scare me so much! It is a Butter cake with White Chocolate Fondant. Buttercream flames, strip on bottom of car with #4 and his name are edible images, everything else is fondant. Spoiler pieces are plastic. TFL! :)
Double layer 8" round Butter cake with Raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. Daisies and butterflies are all white chocolate fondant. A light spraying of luster dust finished it off. TFL! :)
This was 9" rounds, strawberry cake with fresh strawberry buttercream filling. Frosted in buttercream. Roses are gumpaste. TFL!

This cake was designed by my granddaughter for her Mom's (my daughter) bday. Looking at pictures, she said it had to be these colors with these kind of flowers and these kind of butterflies. :) I said ok lets see what we can do and this is what we came up with! She was so happy and couldn't wait to give it to her mom! Lemon cake, lemon filling, buttercream frosting, fondant flowers & butterflies. Aren't granddaughters great!! :) Thanks for looking at her first cake inspiration!
Valentine's Day cake is Darn Good Chocolate cake filled with chocolate buttercream, frosted with white buttercream. The roses are all gumpaste, everything else is buttercream. Happy Valentine"s Day! :)
