Piped panel detail consists of white royal icing beading, navy royal icing beading and inner navy royal icing scrolls. Panels add notable weight to each cake, therefore very strong wooden cake boards are recommended. Cake stands and separators must also be ultra sturdy and sound. Once amply glued with royal icing at their seams, the floodwork panels will adhere tightly to each other when fully dried, making transport of each layer to the venue quite uncomplicated.

Statuesque In Chic Stylized Weave
A touch of old, and a touch of new. This romantic four-tiered Beverley Way Collection design is shown in two tones. Each cake is covered in pure white fondant and decorated with pastel aqua-colored decorative dried fondant extensions. These curved extensions may be alternatively composed of colored pastillage which will dry very hard if transportation/venue circumstances require a more rigid exterior. The extension strips are pre-dried over a curved surface, then attached to each cake side. Royal icing bead detail is applied between each extension piece for additional adhesive strength and to complete the decorative woven appearance. A silk flower topper is intentionally placed slightly off-center for a soft chic touch. This four-tiered cake design is a wonderful play with shadows which change with angles of ambient light. Enjoy!

'belle Of The Ball' In Luxurious Cornelli Lace And Pearls
This Beverley Way Collection design presents four elegant fondant covered stacked oval cakes. Lacey hand piped royal icing has been applied to the exposed surface of each tier using the Cornelli icing technique. The hand piped beaded scroll pattern increases in width down the front of the cake, increasing with each larger tier. String beads have been applied to royal icing beading to create each scroll, and to accent the transition between tiers. Paper templates were utilized to mark each scroll onto the cake sides. This design changes remarkably in personality with variations in icing colors, combinations and topper decor. It is extremely durable for transport as a whole, but will require assistance when lifting as four large layers of any type of cake will be heavy. Enjoy!

Tall, stately, fine and detailed. This design is composed of five hexagon shaped cakes in descending sizes. Each cake side is adorned with sheer decorative ribbon and satin trimming. Hand piped royal icing lace provides a delicate detail to the design. Each lace piece allows light to pass through, providing a "lightness" or "openness" to the concept. The lace pieces are relatively quick to hand pipe and will dry in average conditions within twelve hours. In dry conditions, they may be ready for handling within a few hours. Enjoy!

Almost old-world in detail, this Beverley Way Collection design brings to mind jeweled hair combs, draping jewels and detailed silk dinner dresses. This concept is composed of three stacked heart shaped cakes covered in fondant with the top and lower tiers draped with elegant fondant swags. The cakes are further decorated with colored fabric ribbon and detailed fabric lace. The ribbon and lace can be icing if desired. The floral arrangements are composed of silk roses and baby's breath but could certainly be composed of handmade icing flowers. Placed on a very strong decorated wooden display board, this cake is a pleasure to transport.

Layers are comprised of four fondant covered hexagon layers with piped royal icing bead detail and three fondant covered round layers with pastillage extensions. Extensions are further embellished with piped royal icing lattice-like crosswork. The piped crosswork on the extensions provides additional structural support along with its aesthetic qualities. Fabric lace detail accents the base of each cake. Flowers can be silk or icing. This was a pleasure to create!

Floral Fantasy
This design shimmers and sparkles. One solitary round cake of this design, a beautiful crystal stand, and a beautiful draping tablecloth would be suitable for gracing a small wedding or affair. Seven of the ten cakes for this idea are covered in caramel colored fondant and three cakes are covered in black fondant. Each tiered cake is a 4"H oval, and the surrounding accent table cakes are 4"H rounds. The pleated flowers are dried fondant. Centers are wired gold beading but these centers can be substituted with a number of artistic dimensional and edible methods. Small white minilights create a soft sparkle between each tiered layer. Grand Rose Wedding Cake
I did this cake for some good friends in Toronto. There's quite a story behind it which is quite lengthy so I won't add it here. The main points to the cake are that it has over 700 handcrafted royal icing roses, the bottom three tiers are real, the top 2 tiers were dummies, and the cake was a white velvet butter cake with smooth lemon butter icing filling between layers. The filling contained finely grated fresh lemon peel and the cake was covered with pure white lemon flavored fondant. I hope you like it!

I made this cake as a little different spin on the traditional birdcage cake. Here the cake is inside the birdcage, and the birds are outside enjoying their freedom! The cage panels are made from piped and run-out icing. The cake inside is a simple pink fondant covered round cake. Enjoy!

Snowflake Cake
I have shown this cake on a number of sites this week so for those of you that have already seen it elsewhere and may be tired of seeing it, sorry lol! This cake was one of the first major cakes I attempted and it was for a close family member's wedding a number of years ago. The wedding was in January but with the color scheme and the snowflake motif, it makes for a nice winter/Christmas style cake too, I think. The snowflakes were hand piped and then attached to the orange-flavored fondant covered cakes.
