Vintage Boho Cake With A Dreamcatcher
My entrance for Cake International Birmingham 2016. I finally had the time to take some pictures of my piece. The idea was to combine vintage with boho. And I really like dreamcatchers. I wanted to use different techniques on this cake. So I piped the dreamcatcher with Royal Icing, made the flowers out of flower paste, and the macramé part is made out of sugar paste through a sugar gun. It was my first entrance I was really glad I received a bronze award for it.

Ninjago "spinjitzu" Cake
I thought it was hard to come up with a new design for this theme. But the mum of the birthday boy gave me some clues. He likes to spin around all day (spinjitzu) and fight the enemy with fire. I used my airbrush to make the spinjitzu part and sugar paste for the fire and the Ninjago.

Sophisticated Rockabilly
The sweet couple had a bit of a Rockabilly theme going on. They wanted a more stylish Rockabilly cake. I showed them pictures of cakes with tattoos and the usual Rockabilly items as polka dots. But that was not what they where after. They choose some cakes and colors and after that I came up with a sketch which they liked a lot. And designed the cake after my sketch. The sweet couple was really enthusiastic and said it was even better then they had imagined. That made me so happy!

A Midsummer Nights Dream
I made some daisies out of flowerpaste. I felt they needed a cake to go with :-) . So I made the show cake with a couple of more flowers out of flowerpaste and I began to think about the time I went to see a play as a child. It was a play called Midsummer nights dream of Shakespeare. And it was really magical. That's how I came up with this cake. Hope you like it.
