Complete experiment! Was going for a kind of marble effect with BC and wanted to try out the 'surprise inside' cake thing that's been going on so gave it a go with chocolate and vanilla cake - was meant to be zebra print, but I think it looks more like swirls!

My friend asked me to make a cake for her dad's 60th. He races motorbikes and the bike, him and the helmet were based on photos she showed me. Cake was vanilla with vanilla smbc and fondant covering with 'tyre tread' detail. All toppers made from gumpaste. 100% edible. TFL!
First wine bottle cake. 100% edible. Cake is vanilla sponge with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream. The box is homemade modelling chocolate, dyed then hand-painted. The wine bottle is gumpaste with an edible label and then hand-painted to make it shiny. The leaves are gumpaste and then brushed with a gold lustre dust. The shavings are white chocolate.
Don't judge too harshly! I only started baking cakes in the summer and this one was a lot of firsts for me! It was Dairy-Free (which I've never done before!) vanilla sponge with chocolate frosting. It was my first piping letters with royal icing, and my first stiletto! Am really pleased with how it came out, especially the 'patent leather' effect I got on the shoe :-) My FB page is camillascakesUK - take a look!

Peppa Pig Castle Cake for a 2 little girls who were celebrating their 3rd birthdays together - both oddly called Bella! Cake is vanilla with pink vanilla buttercream filling. All decorations are fondant or gumpaste and towers are filled with chocolates and sweets!

First ever american football helmet. Cake is chocolate fudge cake. There's some things I would change, but fairly happy for my first ever attempt and given that I only started baking 6 months ago!
My first stacked cake! It was for a 40th birthday for a guy that is from Wales and loves Bacardi! Cake is vanilla with chocolate ganache buttercream and the "wood" panels are made from a mix of rolled buttercream and fondant.

I got my inspiration for these lace ones from this fantastic technique from Carina's Cupcakes I used white fondant, but all the pink is handmade modelling chocolate, with the lighter ones being mixed with fondant, which works really well.
Vanilla cupcakes with Subaru cars and roads made out of modelling chocolate, with some fondant decorations. The cars are meant to be miniature ones of my boyfriend's car (with a little bit or artistic licence!). The chequered flags are on chocolate cupcakes. The flags took soooo long! White fondant and black modelling chocolate squares all individually cut out and "glued" to a sheet of fondant to keep them together. I think they look quite effective tho so worth the effort!
Chanel bag I made for a hen party. I used an image i found online (can't remember where - sorry) as the basis and then added my own "artistic licence" to it!* Chocolate sandwich cake covered in fondant with modelling chocolate zip, handles and CC logo. - It went down really well!
