Cosmopolitan And Fruit Trays
FUN to make cake! We tried to make the cakes look like trays of fruit to put in drinks, white chocolate dipped cherries, olives on skewers, limes and lemons. The glass was made of gumpaste with royal done inside, and a little pink elephant swizzle stick I cut off in the picture!

Lattice Daisy Cake
First time doing this type of decoration, and maybe the last...took about 1.5 hours to set up; the lattice pieces were made of royal ahead of time and most of them fit very well (haha!) Daisies looked kinda like all the leftovers from the bouquets, mostly wilted and already bruising, but we made them do. Im hoping for better results if done in the future for this cake, so if anyone has some suggestions, I would appreciate it!

Draped Hydrangea Cake
5 tiered cake covered in fondant with fondant drapes...oh my. We got to the CC and found 22 Hydrangea stems and 75 roses, Bride wanted very small amounts of green showing, and the front 5 sides of the Hexagon shape got filled in, but there actually wasnt enough flowers to fill in the back area. We had mentioned that to the Brides mom about having the cake in the corner of the room and we were glad! It took about 1 hour to do all flower taping and placement.

Tilted Underwater Adventure
The Bride and Groom did not want anything they had seen in a magazine at all, so we all brainstormed and came up with this. She works with the fishies and he with Orangatans so we made them a topper out of clay, baked and painted them. All the parts on the cake are made of either fondant or gum paste (the cake is frosted though, not fondant) with the bottom layer to look like water, the middle grass and the top layer like a sunset...We didnt breathe for most of the drive there. HEHE!

Oosterdam Wedding Design
This cake was designed for a bride and groom marrying on a Cruise Ship in dock. LOts of sketches and emails for approval on design. Cake was for 65 people, with the very bottom and middle 1" layers dummy. Fondant strips embossed and painted with pearl dust; borders were painted with gold dust. Leaves were fondant and tipped with gold also. It weighed a ton and had to be carried on a cart to the ship since it was completly stacked and wiggly and dock was very bumpy!

Tiki Hut Fiji
Fun Cake to make for someone who wanted something different than the traditional seashell tropical cake. Couple was getting married in Fiji and this was for their reception. Palm Trees were molded and dried for a week or two ahead of time, as well as the top of the hut...Flowers in side were of gum paste and lay on the island shape; fish and reeds decorated right on cake.

Fall Foilage Bear Cake
Simple Fall cake for a Bride getting married on a farm in a Barn! All the leaves were made ahead of time in different fall tones, then wired and taped together. The branches coming out from under them was a last minute add. Sides were frosted smooth. The bears along the bottom cake were made from fondant and kept soft on a board until time to place, bear topper was purchased and placed on a sugar coated base with smaller sugar fall leaves, including the tree. Leaves and greenery on table were real.

Stork
Cake was done for a couple who was having twins...They let us go with the fun and so we thought it cute to have it look like the cake was squishing the stork! Mom to be loved it and said that is exactly how she felt! Fondant on both layers;pacifiers made ahead of time and let crust over to stay up. Stork was styrofoam covered in royal and other sugar parts and then "glued" to the board before cake was set on.
