Art Déco Gatsby Cake
My cake was inspired by the dresses and the artwork of the Art Déco, the period when “The Great Gatsby” took place. I made it for the "SWEETEASY: A Gatsby Inspired Collaboration" on Facebook, celebrating the release of the dragéekíss® pearl applicator. This tool was saving so much time! The collaboration with incredible pieces of art was hosted by dragéekíss, the fantastic tool for sugar pearl applications.
Wafer Paper Rose Bouquet
I would like to share my competition piece for the wafer paper flower category at “Cake & Bake Germany” in Essen 2018. They wanted a bouquet of roses with 7 open roses, accompanied by buds, leaves and other flowers. It won Gold and “Best of Category”. I’m so proud and hope you like it too. ♥♥♥
My Little Pony
This is the My Little Pony cake for my daughter’s twelfth birthday. My inspiration for the design was a pony she colored in this special way. It was quite challenging but also fun! The pony is painted but the trees on the lower tier are made of black wafer paper. Also the small red bow on the cake is made of wafer paper. I also added some step by step pictures of the pony Hope you like it! ❤️
This cake was my own Birthday cake made with wafer paper and my Silhouette Cameo. I wanted to show the magic of winter and my inspiration was a story about a Christmas celebration in a snowy forest where deers were fed and a tree was illuminated by countless lights. Hope you like it.
This is my octopus cake for the Under The Sea Sugar Art Collaboration on Facebook. An octopus is one of the most fascinating creatures of the sea. Because of his intelligence, his ability to camouflage, and his mobility, he became a mythical being. The octopus is made of modeling chocolate and fondant and the shells are fondant too. The corals are non edible decoration, just props for the photo.
Butterfly And Campanulas
These are my butterfly and my campanulas I made from wafer paper for the sugar art collab "The Flutter" on Facebook. Hope you like them! ♥
This is the wedding cake I made for Vol 27 of the DIY Weddings Magazine to which I was invited by Candace Chand from Beau Petit Cupcakes! ♥ I have chosen poppies because their elegance and delicacy remind me of bridal gowns and the bright yellow is the color of spring and sunshine. The little canary is a symbol of joy and happiness. All flowers, the bow and the feathers of the canary are made of wafer paper. And the tiers are also wrapped in this paper because poppy petals always remind me of delicate and shiny crumbled paper.
Harry Potter Cake With White Owl
This is the birthday cake for my daughter. The owl, the Snitch and the old books on the cake are made from fondant and wafer paper. The Feather Quill Pen is completely made of wafer paper. On the cake there are the symbols of the four houses of Hogwarts which are hand modeled and the old wooden planks of the cake board are fondant too. Hope you like it!
White Poinsettia Cake
This is my birthday cake, whose decoration I made entirely from wafer paper. Hope you like it. :)
Sugar Skull Bakers 2016
This is my contribution to the Sugar Skull Bakers 2016 collab. It is an Austrian inspiration for the Mexican celebration “Dia de los Muertos”. In Hallstatt they collected the skulls and bones from the old graves and decorated them with paintings in order to honor the deaceased and keep them in memory. On the real skulls the names of the deaceased are written also. All the flowers and leaves are made from wafer paper.
Strawberry Wild Rose Cake
I made this small cake for the teacher of my daughter, when she finished primary school. The flowers and leaves are made from wafer paper. Only the strawberries and the center of the strawberry blossom are made from gum paste.
"our Earth | Our Heart" Acts Of Green Collaboration
This is my piece for the Earth Day Collab of “Acts of Green” as I'm a member oft the United Nations of Sugar Art. ( http://unsugarart.org/acts-of-green-earth-day/ ) It is our goal to stay apprised of current political and human focused issues and provide educational resources for our followers. Once a year we will virtually come together to volunteer our time, materials, and talent to create individual edible showpieces that express our thoughts and feelings pertaining to a given cause. Please have a look at the donation raffle for National Geographic Society. There are amazing prices!!! http://unsugarart.org/ways-you-can-help/ The earth is our heart! Even the letters are the same. It is the center of our being and of all living beings, which we should be aware of, so that we take care of our earth, our heart. I selected delicate flowers who do not get much attention, but are beautiful and precious though. The Forget-me-not also has a symbolic name. I was inspired by a t-shirt design on Threadless “My Foolish Heart”, showing a pink heart with yellow flowers and butterflies. I saw this long before I was invited to the collab, but I remembered it immediately as I thought about my piece. Hope you like it! The petals, leaves and butterfly wings are made from wafer paper.
Woodland Wedding Cake For Diy Weddings Magazine
I'm so excited to show you my woodland wedding cake, which I made for the spring issue, vol 23, of the magazine. Thanks to Candace Chand from Beau Petit Cupcakes, who invited me. This was my inspiration: The hidden world of the forest, the freshness of soft moss, the elegance of delicate mushrooms and wild morning glory and the mystery of brambles and ferns. I had the vision of a bride dressed in white with a wreath of fern, ivy and blackberries, natural and pure. All the leaves and petals are made of wafer paper and the blackberries, mushrooms and moss are made of fondant. Hope you like it! ♥
Snow Hare Cake
This is the cake I made for my last birthday. If you like to have a tutorial for the snow hare you can find it here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.713933202076553.1073741858.360285850774625&type=1
Wafer Paper Gardenia
I made all of the petals and leaves out of wafer paper, even the bud. In the picture you can see my flower in a real gardenia plant on my balcony. At the moment there are no blossoms, but now I have one. ☺ Hope you like it.
Wafer Paper Peony
For the picture I placed my peony in the garden into a real peony plant. This was no problem as it is as light as a real peony, even lighter. I don't know if I will be able to upload additonal pictures. If not, you can see more pics on my facebook page or homepage.
I made this cake for my art students who finished school. Therefore, it has a subject from the history of art, a portrait of Françoise Gilot by Pablo Picasso. The names of my students can be found at the bottom of the top tier. The cake has a minimalist design, but I thought that this matches the drawing. I hope you nevertheless will like it.
Little White Rabbit
This is my little blue-eyed rabbit made from RKT, fondant, gumpaste ,wafer paper and confectioners' glaze. The pansy in the eggcup is also made of sugar.
I'm very proud to show you my white wedding cake, which was featured in Cake Central Magazine Volume 5 Issue 3!
Magnolia Butterfly Cake
Now my magnolias are on the cake. I changed their color and added two more opened flowers. The butterfly wings are made of wafer paper
