I'm so excited to show you my woodland wedding cake, which I made for the spring issue, vol 23, of the magazine. Thanks to Candace Chand from Beau Petit Cupcakes, who invited me.
This was my inspiration: The hidden world of the forest, the freshness of soft moss, the elegance of delicate mushrooms and wild morning glory and the mystery of brambles and ferns. I had the vision of a bride dressed in white with a wreath of fern, ivy and blackberries, natural and pure.
All the leaves and petals are made of wafer paper and the blackberries, mushrooms and moss are made of fondant.
