Zombie Birthday Cake
A 1/4 inch sheet cake done for a teen boy's birthday. Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and then a layer of green vanilla bean frosting for the grass. The figures are a girl, a zombie, and zombie arms reaching out of the grave to eat the girl and pull her in. The figures, the tree and the gravestones are all made out of modeling chocolate.

Alice In Wonderland Tea Party Wedding
A cupcake tree and 6 inch cutting cake done in the theme: Alice and Wonderland Tea Party, through the looking glass. The cupcakes were a variety of flavors, each decorated in their own style. They were lemon, lemon curd filling with lemon frosting, red velvet with cream cheese frosting, sweet almond with vanilla bean frosting, chocolate hazelnut with cream cheese frosting, and white chocolate with cherry frosting. They had cute little "eat me" tags sticking out of them. The 6 inch cake was white chocolate with white chocolate frosting. It was covered and decorated with homemade marshmallow fondant. It was then decorated with gumpaste roses on top. This was probably one of my more funky weddings that I've done but it was so fun and creative. I just loved it.

Comic Book Graduation Cake
Instead of the traditional type of graduation cake, the graduate had always wanted a comic book cake... so I delivered. The cake is covered in marshmallow fondant and the decorations are a mix of modeling chocolate and marshmallow fondant with some hand painted features. The first tier is a funfetti cake with cake batter buttercream. The bottom tier is white chocolate cake, raspberry filling and white chocolate buttercream. This was my first time "painting" a cake and have since done it many times and love it. This cake was a lot of fun... but had to travel about 60 miles so a lot of the sculpted aspects of the cake broke in transit. It still turned out super awesome. :)

Sailboat Cake
Sailboat and ocean waves cake I did for a client's son's 1st birthday. The entire sailboat is made of modeling chocolate. In the 1st and last photos you can see the life preserve, anchor, and ropes that also all made out of modeling chocolate. The anchor and port windows were painted with silver luster dust. The name on the boat (the birthday boy's name) was made out the rope as well and in the last picture you can see the pins holding it while it dried. The cake was frosted to look like waves in blue ombre. That part was really hard (partly because I had a change in frosting flavor on the middle tier) but especially because when I got to the bottom and the darker colors... something odd happened with the darker, powdered color I was using. Anyway... the 1st and 2nd pictures were the client's photos as I wasn't able to get any of my own because they needed to move it to an orchard where they were having the party outdoors. I ended up leaving them with the task of adding the sailboat after and taking photos. However, you can see that it was so hot, that the cake started to melt and lean, as did the sailboat. All in all, even with the issues, it turned out an absolutely adorable cake! One of my favorites so far. :)

Yo Gabba Gabba Birthday Cake
This cake was made for my son's 1st birthday. He loved Yo Gabba Gabba, so we threw his party in that theme. The top was his 4 inch "smash cake" (which he ate completely, lol) made with chocolate and white chocolate cake and covered in white chocolate buttercream. All the decor on the top tier and bottom tiers are made of marshmallow fondant. The bottom tier was supposed to be the red character "Muno", but my fondant siezed up on me in the middle of the night from using the wrong food coloring, so I had to make a quick "Plan B" and that was what I ended up with. The middle tier is chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. The bottom was white chocolate cake with white chocolate buttercream.
