Used a ball pan on top of a 9 x 13 rectangle cake and then carved it. Made fins in advance with support of cardboard and attached to popsicle sticks. This cake was fun as it was my first try with 3D carved cakes.

Twin birthday cake....hence two set of cakes on one board. Cupcake and girl/boy plaques are fondant cutouts. The lollipops are fondant too. Used some store bought candies. Used some cupcake cones. Fun cake to do..........busy...but that's how they wanted candyland to look!!

Used cake pan for Mcqueen, covered in fondant. For the body of the car did a cut an paste out of red fondant. Used black buttercream for th outline. Board was covered with fondant a day inadvance.
Cake completed, 14" cake with 12" plaque. For the skull formed an oval shape fondant, made depression for the eyes, then added a little fondant for the nose and around the eyes. Covered the whold skull with another piece of white fondant and maked markings with veining tool. For the hair used pink fondant in curved sausage form and made markings. Used artificial jewellery.
