Spit Roast Pig Cake
My friend was having a texas BBQ themed party and asked me to do a cake for it. Well what bbq would it be without a pig on the spit...mine didn't have the spit but I wanted that kind of feel for my pig. I found another that had been done by Michelle Wibowo from Michelles sugar art and thought I would give it a try. There are a few things I didn't like at the end but over all for my first attempt at something like this I was pretty happy. The pig is all cake except the nose which is rice krispies, everything else is also edible but are the real things so the lettuce is really lettuce etc...oooh except the apple, that is gumpaste. Seeing as the cake was not for any competition or anything I did not see the point in making the veggies and such from gumpaste as it would have also made the cake more expensive for my client.

The Beatles "yellow Submarine" Cake
Fun cake to do but for a very sad birthday as her 9yr old sister just passed away 2 days before her birthday.I wanted to try and make it fun with lots of details that a true Beatles fan would get. Also added angel wings on the back to represent her sister she had just lost plus pust 12 flying stars for Hailey and one glittering fallen star for her sister.

Sunken Pirate Ship Cake
This was for a big local kids cancer foundation fundraising event. Event is always pirate theme so this year I went with a sunken treasure idea, I udes a fish tank back drop as I wanted to really make it look like it was underwater. Everything is cake with fondant and gumpaste accents. I had just recieved my airbrush and was so glad as it really added lots of shading to give a much better visual effect.

Twins Ladybug Cake
This was for a set of twins 1st birthday. The theme was ladybug so I got the invites and matched a lot of the cake details to that to really pull everything at the party together. All layers are cake including lady bug and figurines are gumpaste, thank you to Krazy Kakes for her inspiration on them.
