Krikor Jabotian Inspired Wedding Cake
Wedding Cakes Inspired by ‘Barbie’ fashion. A worldwide collaboration. She’s been an icon since 1959 and loved by all! Her fashion designers are desired by many, and known by few. I am so honored to be part of this collaboration that features a Worldwide group of sugar artists that bring this collection of Wedding Cakes inspired by some of her Designers. My design was inspired by the gown worn by the “Miss Karelia” doll which was inspired by a designer gown designed by Krikor Jabotian. The Fondant Ruffles and the Gold Filigree design with Sugar Crystal accents mimics the detail work on the gown and the bottom tier mimics the Gold faux leather boats that the doll is wearing.

William Morris - Snakeshead Inspired
I am so honored to be featured in the Cake Central Magazine, Volume 7, Issue 1 and the cake I designed was inspired by William Morris textile “Snakeshead” Influenced by Indian Textiles and originally block printed onto cotton, the “Snakeshead” pattern was created in 1876. With impeccable attention to detail and a subdued palette of elegant hues, this classic masterpiece emanates the true majesty and rich artistry of the era! Spend a lot of hours making this cake but it was well worth it :-)

Ever After - Be My Valentine's Cake Collaboration
Here is my contribution to the Collaboration and the movie “Ever After” is definitely one of the most charming, romantic, and dramatic movies that I have seen and it is a great adaption of the classic Cinderella story. In my creation I wanted to capture the charm and romance of the movie and most importantly the magical “Glass Slipper”. Tropical Wedding Cake
I was super thrilled to design this unique cake for a very special couple. During our consultation they wanted to have the cake designed around their Sri Lankan Heritage. The topper Pair of Swans “Hansa Puttuwa” is a traditional and a very important motif coming down from ancient Sri Lanka and it represents Pureness, Unity and Prosperity. The second tier has the hanging Jasmin flowers to mimic the Sri Lankan oil lamp which is lighted by the bride and groom with their families to signify the two families becoming one. The bottom tier was designed to mimic a Lotus flower which is a symbol of Buddhism and represents Purity, Prosperity, Beauty and Fertility. Finally, to give some warmth to the design I added gold glitter, gold sugar lace, ivory tones and accented it with tropical flowers from Sri Lanka such as Bird of Paradise, Jasmin, Blue Orchids, Hibiscus and Lotus flower.

The Sound Of Music
Here is the cake that I made to commemorate the 50th anniversary of The Sound Of Music movie. I designed this cake around a few of my favorite songs from the movie :-) The “Do-Re-Me song that we all love where Maria is singing it to the children behind the spectacular Alpine meadows of Austria is on the first tier. I sculpted Maria out of modeling chocolate holding her guitar and the beautiful Alphine meadows painted as a plaque. The second favorite song of mine is when Maria and Captain Von Trapp sings “Something Good” inside the beautiful Gazebo so on the second tier I have a silhouette painted of that scene as well as the famous “damask curtains” which represents the 7 children of the Von Trapp Family. Finally on the bottom tier I have the 50th Anniversary celebration plaque covered with beautiful gold gilded Edelweiss flowers to represent my third favorite song “Edelweiss” from the movie :-) Since it’s the 50th anniversary of this Amazing Masterpiece I wanted to give my design a rich feel so I used gold gilded decorations and a lot of scroll work to mimic the rich interiors of the Von Trapp Family Home. I had an amazing time designing this cake :-) Hope you like it too Follow me on my Facebook page (info on my profile) Thx
