Cherry Blossom Birdhouse Garden
A small birdhouse cake for baby Yuri's first birthday. Her mom sent me a few photos of cakes she liked and I kind of mixed and matched bits and pieces that I could do from each of them! So definitely a multi-inspired cake! I'm sorry I don't have the specific individuals to credit :(

Dora's Royally Enchanted Adventure
I fondly called this my multiple personality disorder cake! *LOL* My friend's daughter wanted a Dora, TInkerbell/Disney Fairies and DIsney Princess cake and for the longest time, I had NO idea how I was going to incorporate all of them onto one cake! Especially after my friend dropped off the toys they wanted on the cake. After some thought, I came up with this theme. The story is that Dora is going on one of her famous adventures where she has to attend the Princesses royal ball. She pulled out Map from Backpack and Backpack said that to get to the castle, she has to go through TInkerbell's enchanted forest and up the hill to the castle!

Tml Hockey Jersey Cake
Made this cake for my co-worker's husband's birthday! She just wanted to keep it pretty simple, so it's a chocolate devil's food cake with a buttercream filling. Everything else on it is fondant. Cut out each of the letters by hand because I couldn't find any cutters that were small/close enough to how I wanted the letters to look! *LOL*

Tinkerbell
A Tinkerbell cake I made for my friend/co-worker who absolutely LOVES Tinkerbell. I thought I would try something a bit different from the Disney Fairy cake I made for my niece. I got the idea to put her on a tree stump and sketched it out. I refined the tree stump (from just a cake covered in brown) and sketch based on the inspiration of you lovely ladies on the board. Inside is a 6' cake with a green and purple layer.

Have A Fairy Happy Birthday!
Just finished a Disney Fairy-themed cake I made for my nieces birthday tomorrow! Last year I made her a Disney Princess-themed castle cake, so I guess I'm keeping with the Disney theme! Who knows about next year! *LOL* I had a bit of a difficult time last night with the top tier, but I started over again this morning and was really pleased with how everything turned out! Top tier is chocolate with chocolate ganache filling and bottom tier is a vanilla cake with Oreo buttercream filling. I got the Disney Fairies from ebay that came in the mail yesterday! Just in time! Thanks for looking!

A Barrel Of Roses
Saw this idea from a number of lovely ladies on here and thought I'd try it out! Wanted to fill my "barrel" with roses - although everyone else thought it looked like a basket! I think I will only make this cake again when I intend to serve it the same day. I made it one night in advance and the Pirouline cookies got stale on the outside, soggy on the cakeside :(

Say Hello, Kitties!
Tried out Bakerella's tutorial for her Hello Kitty cake pops! My first attempt at any kind of cake pops. I need to learn the art of patience. I didn't want to put them in the freezer because I wanted to start right away - lesson learned! I think I ate more cake pops than the final results. Too many plopping in the dipping chocolate coating! *LOL* Thanks for looking!

Pretty Pastels
I'm not much of a cupcake person, but thought I'd whip up a batch to give them a try. For some reason, in my head I thought it would only take a few minutes to have them all done and ready to go! Four hours later...*LOL* I made the mistake of decorating the fondant discs before putting them on the cupcakes and since they already dried when I put them on, they are not cracking a bit because the cupcake tops aren't exactly as straight and level as the swivel board I decorated them on. Learning something new with every project!

Congratulations, Nurse!
Nurse smock cake I made for my cousin who just graduated from nursing and passed her board exam - so it turned out to be a double celebration! Her graduation party was outside in the HEAT, so even boxing it up and leaving it in the shade was no match for it. An hour in, she went to cut it and I could see that the sides were already bulging a bit with buttercream.

Angelica's Baptism Cake
Is it so bad how much I'm loving my own cake?! I'm really proud of this one and how it turned out. I really tried to take my time on everything and not to rush through any part. After a few catastrophes with the top tiers three layers, I managed to get it all iced and covered in fondant! I'm very happy with how the gumpaste cross turned out! I couldn't figure out how to do the cross and making a solid one was a disaster so I decided to just draw my own template and cut it out from there. Bottom tier is devil's food cake with chocolate oreo ganache and top tier is vanilla cake with raspberry buttercream. Baby shoe template is from: aldoska (thank you!)

Cake Disaster
My first ever cake disaster - not as far as dropping it before delivery, but after the delivery was made, realized that the room in which the party was being held was NOT AIR-CONDITIONED. Within minutes I could see certain areas of the cake meeeelting and slipping and sliding off the cake! *CRIES* Had the birthday girl blow out her candles and cut her cake ASAP just so I could get the cake apart and serve it! Lesson learned!

Vienna's First Birthday
Four-tier birthday cake I made for my God-Daughter for her first birthday (I know it seems a little over the top, but there was 300 people invited for this party! *LOL) First attempt at stacking a cake using pillars. The topper was my very first, very sad attempt at making a gumpaste figurine.

Hunting For A Cake
Father's Day cake I made for my dad. The deer and other shoot-able things he looks for in the forest were eluding him that year, so I thought I'd give him some on a cake! *LOL* Wasn't very creative though, the mountain, trees and deer were from a forest figure play set! Made the water from blue-dyed piping gel.

Mmf Is My Bff!
First time making and using marshmallow fondant! A little too messy for my taste, considering I hate clean-up after making a cake! *LOL* I must have used too much for the bottom cake because it totally buckled the cake - but I told everyone I intentionally meant for it to look like a dome...
