Baby Dino
Thomas wanted a Dinosaur for his 3rd birthday. I vaguely remembered the fabulous Debbie Brown had done a cute Baby Dino in one of her books, but by the time I worked out which one, it was too late to get hold of a copy so I had to wing it. Thanks Toni O’Grady for helping me track down which book it was ♥ I hope I haven’t botched it too much Debbie ;) Never mind…Thomas loved it ;) He is shaded with 3 colours of petal dust which took ages and has made me think seriously about an airbrush lol! Thanks for looking :) x

I Know Everyone Is Probably Sick Of Seeing Christmas Cakes But Ive Only Ever Made 2 And Really Wanted To Share This One With You All I
I know everyone is probably sick of seeing Christmas cakes, but I’ve only ever made 2 and really wanted to share this one with you all :) I made this little guy for our big family Christmas gathering. I had already decorated a fruit cake in a more traditional style, so this was to make the kids smile. It was a bit difficult to find volunteers to chop him up though, as he really did look like he was pleading to be set free haha! :) He is white chocolate mud with white chocolate ganache. Thanks so much for looking :) xx

Amalfi Coast Engagement Cake
I think the neighbours heard the reaction when this cake got picked up!!! I LOVE a good reaction! ♥ She has to be one of my faves! A wicked sense of humour and gave me the brief and said go crazy. The brief was, an engagement cake for a Scottish girl and an Aussie guy who LOVE the Amalfi coast. Outrageous sense of humour, he’s really tall and she’s not.…great sense of humour…love their Peroni beer….underline sense of humour….so this is what I came up with…and yes, they’re skinny-dipping!! :) x

I had the honour and pleasure of making this cake for a lovely couple celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary…a very rare occasion these days. The cake is covered in Sanding Sugar to give the sparkly effect, because lets face it…when you make it to 60 years marriage you deserve diamonds!!! :) There will be a tutorial for the Sanding Sugar application and the one for a handmade brooch on my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/CakesbyRaewyn/205607579476102 :) x

This Cake Was Inspired By Many Found On The Internet The Picture I Was Given Was From Elite Cakes It Took About A Week And A Half To Compl
This cake was inspired by many found on the internet, the picture I was given was from Elite Cakes. It took about a week and a half to complete, including an all-nighter right at the end. I had severely under-estimated just how much work was in all the fine details. Even with all the long hours, I loved every minute of making all these happy little characters. Please excuse the terrible photography :)

My Fashion Themed Cake Central Magazine Submission
2 months ago I was shocked, honoured and privileged to be asked to submit a cake to Cake Central Magazine. This was a pie-in-the-sky long term dream of mine so you can imagine my reaction at being asked when I hold the other contributors in such high esteem. I truly thought it was a mistake, and fully expected to receive an email apologising for the mix up haha! Those of you that know me, know that I'm so new to all this and I genuinely feel like a faker, flying by the seat of my pants most of the time. I still can't get over the kind and generous spirit of the Cake Community and truly appreciate all the help and support I have been lucky to be shown in the 18 months I've been decorating. I hope you like it.....I have to say that for a change...I am very proud ;) Thanks my Lovelies

Laura Is Turning 30! :)
Laura is gorgeous, bubbly and turning 30! I made the figurine using all the things I learnt from the amazing Trina Thomson of Sweet Ruby Cakes. She?s wearing her gorgeous Bling thongs/jandals/flip flops and loves pink and orange?an important part of the brief. I also included The Body Shop at Home logo which I thought would be a nice touch as Laura is an AMAZING Body Shop at Home Director! Happy Birthday Laura! :) xxx

This Wasn't How It Was Supposed To Look ;)
Here it is, the little cake that was supposed to be 2 pretty cakes for 2 pretty ladies. At midnight, at the end of the Week from Cake Hell it morphed into 1 kinda ugly cake they would have to share. Sorry Jen and Ava....I'll try harder next year. Happy Birthday! ?? ??

Thomas The Tank Engine For Jason
My second cake from crazy week. Jason?s Mummy loved my other Thomas the Tank Engine cake so asked for one for Jason. I used my Fat Daddio?s tin for the base tier for the first time and I have to say, I?m in love!! Cooked to perfection, no messy carving and no wastage! Kids weren?t too impressed though as they love to demolish the offcuts lol! :)
