Coffee Grinder Cake
this was a birthday cake for a friend who is a coffee lover. he roasts his own coffee beans, grinds them and hand drips his own cup of coffee. all the pieces are cake with fondant that are airbrushed, except for the pink cup (that is made of compound chocolate). i made the roasted and unroasted beans out of fondant and airbrushed them. some fixtures are covered with gold or silver luster dust. the cup on the grinder is made of chocolate as well.

Larva Birthday Cake
This is a popular Korean cartoon named Larva. These 2 worm-like creatures live in the sewer. They are so stupid, but they are so funny. Anyway, it is a chocolate cake with peanut butter icing, covered in homemade marshmallow fondant. Characters are made of rice krispie treats, covered in fondant and airbrushed. This cake was for my daughter and all the students I teach who had a birthday in March. They loved it!

3D Horse
Made this cake for a couple's daughter's combined birthday party. There was more I wanted to do with this cake, like add a bridal, but I ran out of time. However, I got to use my new toy, my airbrush. (FYI, the original idea wasn't mine, but I was glad I was inspired by a fellow decorator from cake central)

Monkey Love
This cake was done for my niece's 7th birthday. I tried to replicate the party plates from her theme. It's iced in buttercream and covered with pink fondant. The body of the monkey is cake with chocolate fondant and the head is made from rice krispie treats covered with chocolate fondant. For the body, I used half of the sports ball cake pan from Wilton's. The main cake was a 16" x 2" round pan. She loved it.

Minnie Mouse 1St Birthday
Thank you to the cake decorator that came up with the original design of this cake. I modified it a little. Instead of white polka-dots, I used rhinestones and the cake is taller and slimmer. the family absolutely loved this cake. I cut out a silhouette of minnie mouse and used it as a template. I rolled out gumpaste to 1/4 inch thick and cut around the template. I stuck 3 lollipop sticks in the bottom and then dried it out. After it was dried, I hand-painted it with Wilton's food coloring gels.

Christmas Program Cake
i did this cake for my preschool's christmas program. each of the characters (which are made of fondant) represents one of the classes. i even added battery powered lights to the scene. i used a leaf tip on sugar cones for the trees and added little candies for decoration. it was a big hit.

Baby Bottom Polka Dot Cake
i got this idea off the net. the baby's bottom is half of the wilton's ball pan and covered with fondant. the legs and feet are made from rice krispie treats and covered with fondant ( i recommend using a thick layer of fondant). this was so fun to make! i have made 2 versions of this cake.

Hello Kitty
i made hello kitty's head from the sports ball cake from wilton's. i recommend using pound cake or reducing the liquid slightly in your cake mix. this adds more stability to your cake. it's iced with buttercream and covered in white fondant. the body is a cardboard flower pot covered with fondant. i made a hole in the flower pot for a dowel rod and pressed the flowerpot into the sheet cake before i layered it with fondant. the legs and feet are also fondant.

John Deere Tractor
this cake went along with the farm cake. the cake is iced with buttercream and covered with white fondant...i used wilton's cake spray to make it green. the spray is good when you are in a pinch, but it does make your mouth very green when you eat the cake. the tires are made of rice krispie treats that are covered with fondant.

Farm Cake
i did this cake along with the tractor cake. i made all the animals and most of the vegetables out of fondant. the barn is made with graham crackers that are covered with red fondant. before i added the red fondant to the bard, i pressed it with a wood grain pattern. the hay is coconut dyed yellow.

Darth Vader
my husband loves star wars. i found a cheap vader mask and sprayed it with cooking spray and pressed rice krispie treats into it. i iced the cake with chocolate buttercream and place the rice krispie mold on top (i didn't ice this part) i covered it with black fondant and used a little silver shimmer mixed with vanilla extract to paint various parts of the mask.
