This rice-paper "salad" is the top of a chocolate cake with vanilla bean buttercream that I put in a clear plastic bowl painted with green candy melts. Even the spoons are edible. It all happens to be gluten free, as this birthday girl is also gluten-free!

It's actually Prosecco, because I wanted to try a champagne cake recipe but wanted to save a little $! The buttercream has Prosecco in it too! I iced each side a little different . I didn't make it for any occassion so now most of it is in my freezer!!

For my nephew who loves making eggs for everyone! It's a little more "pot" than "skillet" but I needed to make more servings - artistic license?!? I used pretzel rods covered in fondant to make the handle and the eggs and bacon in the skillet are fondant!

Made a yellow cake with apple butter filling in a pie shell, removed the foil pan and icing it all in buttercream to look like pastry. And it's really apple pie filling, just on top. Happy Thanksgiving!
One of my favorite categories - the surprise inside cake or twice-baked cake. Three layers - side by side - the orange layer has the letter A imbedded, the purple layer has the letter D imbedded and the pink has the letter T (for me). I really wanted it to stand upright but I'm a hobby baker not a hobby engineer and I had to drive it 50 miles!! No one was the wiser and it didn't slow down the eating!
An Octopus Cake and it's not even for a child! Possibly 1,000,000 sugar crystals of blue, green and white!
