Harry Potter Birthday Cake
This cake was made for a big harry potter fan who is celebrating his birthday this week. Once again, I've covered the cake board with a star burst pattern (can you tell I LOVE this technique?? lol). This original design for this cake is by Sweet Blossom Cakes and also by Royal Bakery

Kawaii Inspired Ice Cream Cone Cake
A Kawaii inspired giant ice cream cone for a little girl turning 1 today. I was allowed to come up with the design myself and had originally planned to do a giant cupcake but after browsing on pinterest I decided to on the giant cone. So many people inspired this design....mainly A Pocket Full of Sweetness whose ice cream cone is absolutely amazing so please check it out! Also the queen of novelty...Lesley from the Royal Bakery....I tried to channel Lesley as much as possible (who doesn't though right??) and for the board, I flat out used her AWESOME sunburst board tutorial. Finally, I used the brilliant tip by Peggy of Peggy Does Cake for making my cherry shiny - equal quantities of corn syrup and vodka painted on - works a treat! Inside is a chocolate cake with strawberries and cream filling all topped off with a layer of milk chocolate ganache.

Minion Dave In Drag!
This is Minion Dave as you've never seen him before.............wearing a dress! This fun cake was made for a little girl turning two today who is obsessed with Minion Dave but her mum wanted something a little more girly, so after some googling, I managed to find some "fan art" online of Minion Stu in this get up, so I copied it but made it Dave instead. This minion is standing and the finished height is about 11". Strawberries and cream cake inside covered with white chocolate ganache and fondant.

A Mahoosive Minion For A Little Boys 6Th Birthday Party Today A 7 Wide By 115 Tall Fererro Rocher Cake Covered In Milk Chocolate Ganac
A mahoosive minion for a little boys 6th birthday party today. A 7" wide by 11.5" tall fererro rocher cake covered in milk chocolate ganache. For those who are familiar with Minions (of which I am not one!), this Minion Dave....the birthday boys favourite. Worked with modelling chocolate for the first time - I'm kind of 'meh' about it - it has some great qualities but some terrible qualities too! Most everything is made from fondant, but the goggles are modelling chocolate and while it made it easier to cut them, it is SO easy to mark modelling chocolate with finger prints, glove marks, tiny creases, so the jury is out. However, I did have fun making this and I hope the birthday boy loves it

Raf Birthday Cake
This was a birthday cake made for a gentleman celebrating his birthday who used to be a Flight Lieutenant in the RAF - he was in Squadron number 27 and this was his squadrons crest. The cake itself was very simple, I wanted to keep it clean and precise, much like an RAF uniform. The cake was ferroro rocher (probably the cake I make the most) - alternate layers of hazelnut sponge and chocolate sponge filled with two layers of hazelnut swiss merinuge buttercream and a hazelnut chocolate ganache, laced with roasted chopped hazelnuts.

An Oscar themed birthday cake in shimmering champagne and gold. Sugar roses and piped royal icing design on the side. The only thing inedible is of course the statue. Layers of chocolate and moist orange cake filled with thin layers of dark chocolate ganache and generous amounts of orange curd swiss meringue buttercream, studded with chocolate orange chips and orange zest.

My Own Wedding Cake
This was MY wedding cake We had a small wedding, only 10 of us so only the bottom tier is real cake. I had such a hard time with this cake - it didn't turn out like I'd hoped, I really felt like I'd lost my mojo with this cake, but once it all came together on location with all the little extra's like the flowers and macarons, I fell in love with it. It was almost impossible to photograph, but if you look closely, the middle tier has a white on white royal icing stencil

80Th Birthday Cake For A Seaman
This cake was a real labour of love - I loved the design, but working with black fondant and gold lustre is just a complete nightmare! This was for a gentleman's 80th birthday who used to work as a 4th engineer for the British Steam Navigation Company before it was taken over by P&O. The cake was actually meant to have more striping around the base of the cake to mimic the striping on his uniform jacket sleeves, but my extruder broke - I was so disappointed. Anyway, everything is edible apart from the 'BI' on the logo - I didn't have anything small enough to either paint or pipe that, so it's just a print out stuck on top of gumpaste. The logo is hand cut out of gumpaste and then brush embroiered and painted with gold lustre. This is a 6" square (5" high) with fererro rocher filling.

So This Wedding Cake Was Made For A Friend Who Was Happy For Me To Come Up With Any Design I Wanted And For It To Be A Surprise A Couple O
So this wedding cake was made for a friend who was happy for me to come up with any design I wanted and for it to be a surprise. A couple of weeks ago, Marie from Couture Cupcakes & Cookies shared the most beautiful cake I've ever seen and I just knew I wanted to do something similar. This was a real labour of love because I really have always hated doing squares, however this was a real learning curve and one which I enjoyed. I'm definitely more confident with squares now and won't be so intimidated by them now. Bottom tier is ferrero rocher which is alternating layers of chocolate sponge and hazelnut genoise filled with hazelnut SMBC and roasted hazelnuts, all covered with dark chocolate ganache. The top tier and the second bottom tier is strawberries and cream and the second top tier is chocolate orange, which is alternating layers of chocolate cake and orange genoise filled with orange curd SMBC laced with chocolate orange chips.

White Rose In Full Bloom
This is the first cakey thing I’ve done in 9 months as my kitchen has been getting renovated. Yesterday I decided to break out the gumpaste tools and make some roses – I actually only made one…...this one. It’s the first rose I’ve made that I have been 100% happy with, which is unusual! Lets just hope I can replicate it :)

Geometric Ivory And Navy Wedding Cake
This was a wedding cake I made this weekend for a couple who were having a blue and ivory as their colour scheme. I drew up about 6 different sketches all very feminine like my normal style of cake, but threw this one in to the mix as a bit of a curve ball and they went for it. Very different from what I would normally do, but I love how it turned out. Bottom tier is Madagascan Vanilla Bean, middle tier is Pina Colada and the top tier is Mint Chocolate.

Cake Central Magazine Wedding Cake
I was so excited to be asked to submit a cake for the wedding issue of Cake Central's most recent magazine and even more excited to have been selected. I was given three inspiration photo's and the theme was lemon and lime and this is what I came up with. When I seen that one of the inspiration photo's was chevrons, I might even have squealed a little!! ;)
