Princess Remi's First Birthday
I made this cake for my niece who was throwing a party to celebrate her beloved Dalmatian dog turning 1. I loved making the tiara, and can’t wait to make one again. So easy using the Wilton Baroque mold. The dog collar is an exact duplicate of the designer collar that the dog wears. I used an edible image, and a small rope mold for the edging. Thank you for looking!

Sewing Basket Cake For 100Th Birthday
I had the honor of making this cake for a remarkable woman celebrating her 100th birthday! She still loves to crochet, and make quilts, and takes care of herself in her own home! She looks absolutely amazing! I made her favorite, vanilla cake with buttercream filling, covered in chocolate ganache and fondant. All of the sewing notions are edible and made from fondant.

This was my first 3D carved cake, and my first time using chocolate ganache. I LOVE GANACHE!! Why didn’t I use it sooner! LOL!

We celebrated my grandson Ethan’s 6th birthday yesterday with an Angry Birds themed party. 6" topper cake with 50 chocolate and chocolate chip cupcakes with fondant Angry Birds toppers. I didn’t know much about the Angry Birds game, so I had to Google it! Ethan informed me that I made all of the characters perfect, which made all the time put into making them worth it! It was so adorable at the party when told all of his friends that his grandma “makes the best cakes in the whole world”! Sweet little boy!! Thank you all for looking!!

This was my entry in the 2014 National Capital Area Cake Show in Fairfax VA. This was my very first cake show and first time ever entering a cake into competition. My cake came in first place in the intermediate tiered division. I was so surprised and honored!! Please check out the other photos as well, as the back of the cake was as detailed as the front. The Little Mermaid Cake And Cupcake Tower
Ariel, The Little Mermaid, cake and cupcake tower made for a sweet little girl’s 5th birthday. I was inspired by the lovely cake made by Angela (Angel Food 4 here on CC), and she was gracious enough to allow me to use her design. I also made 40 fondant sea life cupcake toppers. I love my cupcake stand, and cover it with matching scrapbook paper to match the theme of the party. Thank you so much for looking!

Sweet Baby Girl
Ombre' pink ruffles made using the blossom scrunch technique. The Vagabond Baker and Bloom Cake Co have tutorial on Facebook on how to do it. A simple to do ruffle, but very time consuming. The wicker basket was made by weaving fondant strips, and the baby made with First Impressions mold. Thank you for looking!

Sweet Minnie Cake & Cupcake Tower
I made this 6” cake and 40 cupcakes for a friend’s little girl who is turning 3, and getting surprised with a trip to Disney World! The Minnie topper, and all of the cupcake toppers are made from fondant. The little heart on top, also made from fondant, has a candle in it for the birthday girl to blow out. Chocolate cake and chocolate and chocolate chip cupcakes with buttercream frosting. The only fondant I now use is Liz Marek’s Marshmallow Fondant. This stuff is absolutely amazing! So easy to make, and so easy to use. Thank you so much for looking!!
