50Th Anniversary Cupcakes/cake
50th Anniversary cupcakes & cake with gold accents. 145 cupcakes but not all of them fit on the stand. I LOVE the stand that was built using Antonia74's directions so a big thank you to her! The B&G topper is the original from their wedding 50 yrs ago. I topped each cupcake with a chocolate heart that I dusted with edible gold dust or three gold sugar pearls. This was a lot of fun and I felt honored to be part of such a special occasion!
Ducky Baby Shower Giftbox Cake
Baby shower cake for my friends! The cake is iced in buttercream with a MMF bow, ducky and lots of bubbles. The bubbles are accented with edible pearl dust to make them look more bubbly :-) The cake is lemon with lemon filling. My first gift box cake, and square cake for that matter although I have done a couple sheet cakes. I got the design from Sugary Goodness.
Monkey Birthday Cake
Here is a bday cake that I made for me, my twin sis & a friend when we turned 29. My sis & her bf helped a ton by making 550 fondant bananas! Don't ask how long it took to make all those & for the 3 of us to put them on the cake & paint the brown accents. I made the monkeys out of chocolate mmf with regular mmf for the accents. My sis requested chocolate chocolate chip cake w/ peanut butter cream filling & sliced bananas. It was soo yummy! I was inspired by bmote1 & maimerbaker's adorable cakes.

Giant Cupcake Cake
Had a hard time getting a good picture of this cake because of the contrast between the top and bottom but it is a giant cupcake cake using the Wilton pan. The bottom is iced in chocolate buttercream and the top with vanilla buttercream. Topped with a fondant cherry and sprinkles.
Retro Funky Flowers Baby Shower Cupcakes

Cake With Slice On Top
Birthday cake for my grandmother-in-law's 101st birthday. The cake is lemon cake with lemon filling. The outside is buttercream and cut parts are covered in fondant and made to look like the inside of a cake. The flowers are fondant too. The cake was inspired by Antonia74 and SLK's versions.
Sunflower cake for my co-workers birthday. I think this would make a really nice Mother's Day cake too. Darn Good Chocolate Cake with chocolate filling. Cake is iced in buttercream. Sunflower petals are MMF. The butterfly is store bought. I wanted to make one out of fondant but didn't have enough time. The design is based on a daisy from one of Lindy Smith's books, but I copied Lizbvic's idea of making it into a sunflower by coloring the petals yellow and using a store bought butterfly.
Castle Cake For Hannah's Princess Party
Castle cake for my niece's Princess themed 4th bday party. The tower peaks are covered in MMF and edible sparkles. The purple accents on the doors and windows are royal icing w/cake sparkles. The cake is iced in bc with bc borders and leaves. Flowers are MMF. My hb and sis helped me a ton by cutting out 200+ flowers. 2 towers fell on the drive but I was able to fix it really easily. Thanks to Cambo for her advice and tips on using melted candy to secure the pieces! I used the wilton castle kit.
Red Sox Birthday Cake
Red Sox themed birthday cake for my Mom's 60th Bday (she is fanatic about her Red Sox!). The tiers are tapered and covered in MMF. The numbers are fondant that I cut out in a Red Sox font. The logo & pennant are fondant plaques w/edible images. There are two more logos that you can't see. The 3D baseballs are two of the 63 that we made as party favors for all the guests. Thanksgiving cake for my family. I needed something that I could stack, fill and ice at home but decorate after driving to L.A. This is Darn Good Chocolate Cake with chocolate filling and chocolate icing. Kit Kat bars around the sides and Reese's Pieces filling the top. I got the idea after seeing similar ones by Kiwi Cakes and Twinsline7.

Curious George cake to match party decorations. Yellow cake with chocolate filling and buttercream icing. Fondant stripes, Curious George and balloons. I made matching cupcakes in red, yellow and blue with fondant bananas on some of them and Curious George plastic rings on the rest.
Chocolate Birthday Cake For Dad
My dad requested an all chocolate cake for his birthday and isn't a fan of fondant so I had a hard time figuring out how to decorate it. This is what I came up with for a simple, cute cake. He loved it! Darn Good Chocolate Cake with chocolate filling and icing. Fondant letters painted with gold luster dust and cake sides covered with jimmies (aka sprinkles). That was a bit of a challenge to get those to stick on the sides but fun. The heart is red piping gel with sanding sugar.
Sports Themed Cupcakes To Match Cake
Cupcakes that coordinated with the sports themed sheet cake that I made for a co-workers son. Buttercream grass.
Sports Themed Birthday Cake
Nicolo's 5th birthday cake. 9 x 13 x 4" sheet cake. That sucker was HEAVY! I coordinated it to the sports party theme that was used for the party. It is three layers of yellow cake with 2 layers of chocolate buttercream filling. Iced in buttercream with fondant accents and icing grass to coordinate with the matching cupcakes that went with it.
Ladybug Birthday Cake
Ladybug (or is it Ladybird?) cake for one of my co-workers. The bottom cake is white almond sour cream cake with alternating layers of strawberry and cream cheese filling. The ladybugs body is also WASC cake and is covered in buttercream and then fondant. The ladybug head, the bow, letters and daisies are all fondant. This was inspired by ByTheSlice's ladybug cake.
Baby Girl Shopper Cake
This is a baby shower cake I made for my co-worker's wife who is expecting her first girl. She has been shopping like crazy since she found out she was having a girl so we thought this would be an appropriate cake. It is lemon cake with lemon filling and bc icing. The baby and details are MMF. The design is from the Wilton 2007 Yearbook ("Buggy of Bargains" - also on the wilton website). The design cracked me up when I first saw it. I followed the design except for adding more detail to the cell phone
Beehive Birthday Cake
Maria's bumblebee birthday cake. Lemon cake with 3 layers of lemon curd filling and 3 layers of lemon mousse filling. The cake is covered in a thin layer of vanilla buttercream and then yellow marshmallow fondant. The bees and daisies are fondant as well. Woo Hoo! Homer Simpson Anniversary Cake
Here is the anniversary cake that I made for my husband who is a huge Simpsons fan (so am I!). Three years - woo hoo! I got the giant donut idea from kbochick! Thanks for your help Karen! Lemon cake with one layer of lemon curd and one layer of lemon mousse filling. Marshmallow fondant over buttercream and then royal icing poured on top for the pink donut glaze. I made Homer and the sprinkles out of fondant as well.
Ballerina Doll Cake
Ballerina cake for my co-workers 4 year old daughter Samantha. Strawberry cake with vanilla bc filling and bc icing. The skirt ruffles are bc piped with a tip 103 in varying shades of pink (used a LOT of icing). The top layer of skirt, tank, and pointed foot are all MMF. The 4 is white chocolate dusted with pink edible glitter. Inspired by Icemom's ballerina cake.
This is my version of adven68's awesome steak cake. But, I forgot the USDA stamp, d'oh! and didn't quite do it justice since b/c I was really rushed. This was for a going away party for a friend we affectionately call "Mike the Meatman" because he works for a meat company and always shares with us. It is "Darn Good Choc Cake" w/peanut butter filling and choc bc icing covered in MMF. I painted the MMF w/icing colors. Thanks to adven68 for the design and tips!
M&m Birthday Cake
This is my version of Jellygirl's M&M cake. I made these for my husband's Mom and Aunt who are identical twins. They are chocoholics and we always catch them picking all the M&M's out of Costco trail mix so I thought this would be perfect. Yellow the Peanut M&M is "Darn Good Chocolate Cake" with peanut butter frosting. Red the plain M&M is the same cake w/o the filling. Both are covered in bc w/mmf accents. Thanks Jellygirl for letting me use your design! I will post closeups...
