Purple Floral
A cake made for a stagette party. (The Americans on here would better know it as a bachelorette party...lol). I was asked to do something with purple, black and white. Given free range as to what to do, as long as it was "tasteful", not a "typical" raunchy themed cake! LOL The photos don't begin to do it justice! It is a MUCH truer purple in real, waaaaay nicer in real!!

Partysaurus
I was asked to do a small cake for a little boy's first birthday, and decided to try my hand at a dinosaur, a la Debbie Brown. I thought he turned out really cute! However, it was SO humid in my house that day, and the head didn't want to stay in place... The cake boards I usually use have a coating on it, but this one didn't. The heat made my buttercream icing start to melt, which left grease stains on the board. I ended up making two fondant "presents" to put under his head to keep it in place until the party! lol

Feminine Flowers
I was asked to do a birthday cake for a very mature girl who was turning 13. I was left to come up with the design on my own. All I was told was maybe something girly... I think this is VERY girly...SOOO feminine! Raspberry flavoured fondant, hand made fondant fantasy flowers. First time attempting these flowers, sooo happy with the results! Definitely my favorite cake I've made to date! Love everything about it...the colours, the flowers, the scallops... Thanks to all my fellow cc contributors for the great ideas! Especially mrsmudrash for her inspiration with the scallops!

Colourful Birthday
I was asked to make a birthday cake for two sisters who were having their party together. When I asked what they wanted, one said polkadots, one said zebra. When I asked what colours, one said yellow, one said pink. This is what I came up with. It was a lot of fun to do! The yellow is banana MMF, the pink is raspberry MMF.

Handy Manny Cake
I was asked to make a Handy Manny birthday cake for a little boy who was turning two. I was wanting to try the toolbox cake that I had seen from so many others, but decided to create something of my own instead. I was very pleased with the end results!! All tools are fondant. Everything is entirely edible.

Train Cake..
I was asked to make a birthday cake for a little cousin of mine, He is a HUGE fan of Thomas the Tank Engine. I got this idea from many cakes on here. I am very pleased with how it turned out! (Although, I was NOT happy with my "3", but couldn't move it around once it was on, as it stained the blue behind it...)

Zebra Graduation
I was asked to do a graduation cake, left entirely up to me. I was told the graduate loved pink, purple and zebra print. I got this design from a photo on here, by carmie00. I wasn't very happy with the grad cap that I ended up using. I had one made and sitting to dry a few days in advance, and my two year old ate it!!! This one was thrown together at the last minute, and I could NOT for the life of me get a tassel together properly, so ended up with just the twisted rope. As much as I was not impressed with my cap, I was very happy with the end results!!

Peacock Birthday Cake
I was asked to make a cake for a surprise 30th birthday party, and given the go ahead to do whatever I felt like. This was the final result! I am very happy with this one! It was 100% my design.... First time I ever attempted to make roses myself, (50/50 fondant and gumpaste) and was very happy with how they turned out! (The top layer looks a little rough in these photos, because it was getting warm in my house and I was having trouble with the buttercream shifting. I chilled it and smoothed it out after. With MUCH better results!!!)

Engagement Cake
This is the second fondant cake I have ever made... It was for a friend's engagement party. I had a ton of trouble working with the black fondant I made, it kept drying and cracking, so the lines on the figures are not very clean at all. I was a little disappointed with them. Other than that, I was pretty happy with the overall cake! Inspiration from cajuncakery.blogspot.com
