Baby shower cake for my friend, she knew she was having a little boy :)
Completely inspired by a cake here on cc. The black around the base of each cake is made from liquorice - it was a nightmare to use :(
In England we don't really have baby showers and have seen so many lovely cakes on this site. Then a friend asked me to make a cake for her so I jumped at the chance. So much fun to do.
To match a whimsical birthday cake. These took ages but were much fun to make. I made the swirly sticking out bits out of fondant with cmc but they went floppy in the buttercream. Any suggestions?
purple and blue owl cupcakes to match the christening cake for my 2 children. These were lots of fun to do. Thanks to Coral3 for your ace cupcakes :)
My hubby is tiger mad so I thought i would have a go at making a Tigger. This is my first topsy turvy cake and although I am pleased overall it was a lot more fiddly than a normal shape! Thanks to Lorraine McKay for her original Tigger :)
Owl inspired cake for my beautiful children's christening. All made from fondant :)
A princess castle for my lovely friend's daughter. I made glucose icing for the first time to make the turrets. The rest is all made from fondant and marsh mallows.
This was inspired by a photo of my brother, sat chilling on a mountain, as snowboarders do. The clothes are as close to the colour as I could get. He was really chuffed with the cake, it made him smile :)
For my little boy's 4th birthday. All made from fondant and using patchwork cutters.
A fondant robin for my lovely friend Natalie :)
A photo for our local pre school christmas stall. All made from fondant with pipe cleaner legs :)
Mini fruit cupcakes topped with fondant xmas figures and lots of edible glitter. They took ages to do, but I am pleased with the way they turned out, even if my whole kitchen is covered in glitter! Many thanks to all of cc for your inspirational cupcakes :)
One of the 10 year old girls in my class wanted me to help her to make a cake for her little brother. She made the monkeys, with a little help (she's so creative), and I turned it into a finished cake.
My little girl loves elephants and so I used a video on youtube by Loraine Mackay to create this cute elephant. All from fondant.
All made from fondant and pipe cleaners. I haven't decided what to do with them yet though. I am thinking of mini Christmas Cakes?
